beautiful, beautiful, BEAUTIFUL!!! this is like my dream way to store my polish.. however, i have a psychotic cat that takes great pleasure in destroying everything i care about. my cat would have a heck of a time knocking every single bottle down and then peeing on it or batting it around the house until it bounced down the stairs and then she'd probly bury it in the litter box. sooo.... my polish is kept safely in a cabinet that is cat-proof. something like this with doors on it would be perfect. i smell a new winter project.. ;-) love your collection! this is quite an inspiration!

great use of the CD rack! i think i have the same one in maple that i got from Target, but it's currently filled with CDs and DVDs... and i've been working on ripping them all to my computer so i can just put the CDs and DVDs in storage boxes... THEN i can free up the rack for my polishes! currently all my babies are in Melmers and decorative boxes... but i would sit in front of yours and stare at it for hours! xoxo

With the added foam board riser you can get quite a few polishes in there plus you can see all of their smiling faces :) There are plenty of times that I go in my room and just stare...its almost like meditation. I really love watching your videos and I have to say I really love how you have your collection set up! I don't have the space to have my collection even remotely set out... Hopefully my next appt will have space for me to actually show off my insane collection. I'm actually in the process of switching my collection, so when I go to purchase polishes I don't get colors I already have. I'm using the same swatch sticks as you, but I put them on a flexible corded ring my hubby bought for me at Home Depot. I just finished labeling (yay p-touch label maker!) & switching my collection of Zoya polish... I think I need bigger rings! I now know that I have 82 Zoya polishes...I will say that the vast majority came from either the 50% off deals that Zoya does on Earth Day and I got a boatload from Ulta's clearance bins! The only time I paid more than $5 was I bought 2 color cubes after I missed their 50% off sale in September. I really want the new matte collection, but I'm gonna wait...😓

bonitajuanita - I can tell you that you can get the basic p-touch label maker for like $17 at Wal-Mart (that's where I got mine) the challenge is to remember to by AA batteries and extra label tape because it really sucks to realize mid-label that you're out of tape >.> Hooray for a willing hubby to run out and get me more rolls :D I'm totally with you on the fear of buying dupes... I think the majority of my collection is made up of Zoya and China Glaze. and a smattering of Sinful Colors and a couple randoms... I've been diving into indies because there are some really amazing ones out there.. too many >.> I hate being ADD and slightly OCD when it comes to polish! Oh trust me... I *will* own the new matte collection! My biggest concern is how different some of the colors are from the original Matte collection. I know they have a blackfriday thing up, but it limits the color you can pick and I don't think they have all the new Mattes available... unless I get really lucky with Reddit's Secret Santa... I totally dropped major hints on things I really want and the mattes are my #1 want soooo bad!!! the upside is if I don't get it for Christmas... I can always get it for my birthday :D I think my hubby would rather die than buy me polish :p I could be wrong... LOL I'm looking forward to the Zoya Winter Matte review!!!
I put my swatch sticks on binder rings that I bought at Michael's. It's easy to add in new sticks without having to take a bunch off if you have them colour coded. And they are easy to hang up. I have mine on the wall. I think it looks like art lol!
You inspired me. I found a CD bookcase on Craigslist, smaller than this, but think it will be nice for my polish. I didn't want to do racks, so thanks for the idea!

I have several older polishes that are so thick now they are worthless. 2. Which base and top coat do you recommend?
