Ducati has unveiled the all-new Panigale V2 for 2025, introducing a lighter and more street-focused V-twin sportbike. This model represents a departure from previous designs, as it's been developed from the ground up rather than adopting a reduced displacement engine. The result is a compact and lightweight machine that sets a new benchmark among Borgo Panigale twin-cylinders.
At the heart of the 2025 Panigale V2 is the new 890cc V-twin engine, producing 118 horsepower at 10,750 rpm and 68.8 lb-ft of torque at 8,250 rpm. This engine marks a departure from Ducati's traditional desmodromic valve actuation, aiming to reduce maintenance and improve street manners. Despite a 35-horsepower decrease compared to its 955cc predecessor, the new Panigale V2 has lapped the Vallelunga circuit just two-tenths of a second slower than the previous model, thanks to its significant weight reduction and reworked chassis.
The new monocoque aluminum frame weighs in at just 4 kg and also functions as an airbox, housing the air filter, throttle bodies, and fuel circuit. This design contributes to the bike's overall weight of 172 kg, making it the lightest Panigale to date. Additionally, Ducati has transitioned to a double-sided aluminum swingarm, which offers more compliance than the former single-sided setup.
In terms of electronics, the Panigale V2 is equipped with a six-axis IMU that enables features like cornering ABS with slide-by-brake, Ducati Traction Control, Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control, and Ducati’s Quick Shift 2.0. Riders can choose from four riding modes: Race, Sport, Road, and Wet. The bike also boasts a new five-inch TFT display with an interface inspired by the Panigale V4’s Infomode, offering three view options: Road, Road Pro, and Track.
