- In this episode of the Gracie Way, you'll join Rener on his summer trip to the Hawaiian island of Oahu where he taught some sick seminars, saw some crazy polynesian dancers, surfed some fun Waikiki waves, and found the larges avocado of his life. Did they catch you with the avocado? My wife grabbed some fruits and put it in our bags at Hawaii. I didn't know about it. She sent me through the gate with it. They asked, if I had anything and I assumed the answer was no. They pulled the fruit out of my bag and said, "What do you call this then?" Busted!

I used to not like avocado by itself, but now I put it in my chicken and rice for a little extra creamy smooth yumminess.And I've also made his Renergy Sandwich versions up to 2.0 a few times. I haven't done 3.0 yet -- that one's with the tapioca flour tortillas instead of the whole grain toast slices to accommodate people with gluten allergies; but when I get the motivation to properly make tapioca tortillas, I may give that a go. #renergysandwich3point0youtube

Every Gracie -- and everyone whose last name isn't Gracie -- who took what the late Grandmasters Helio and Carlos developed from Mitsuyo Maeda's Judo nearly a hundred years ago has something to contribute to Gracie Jiu Jitsu so long as it adheres to the tenets that Helio set: technique, natural body movement, and effective punch protection.
Past that, those Renergy sandwiches are awesome. I've made them a few times for myself, and they're fantastic. You eat one and it doesn't leave you feeling sluggish or outright tired like eating meat will, at least in my case. I just wish I had the motivation to make those sandwiches for myself more often, though.

@PacMan343 So im guessing you train GJJ? So what is the difference? You learn the same techniques but the gracies steer it a bit more to self defence... My BJJ instructor does BJJ techniques purely for self defence every few weeks...
