- Another Wonderful piece, the words are beautiful, and as always, Stuart Burrows puts his heart and soul into it. There are a couple of little faults on the soundtrack, unfortunately, I can't correct them, but hopefully, it doesn't spoil your enjoyment too much. 'Angels Guard Thee, Sweet Love, Till Morn'...

Diction is perfect, as is the phrasing….the tone is sublime, it’s close to heaven. Angels guard thee, how beautiful 🌹

I LOVE this man's singing.
I couldn't agree more, So very pleased you like this, I'm only sorry the quality isn't better, but I have had these recordings since 1983 on Betamax, and simply couldn't improve them any more. Have you listened to the others from his shows I've uploaded, they're all wonderfully sung by this great man.
THE QUALITY IS FINE. MORE THAN FINE... unlike today's telecasts where you see every hair in the singers nose and every skin blemish. We're here to "listen. For me, this is an "excellent" quality picture. I want to concentrate on the "sound" not the picture. ps- I heard him in opera but much prefer him in 'song'.

A lovely version of this song and the version sung by the late Kenneth McKellar is arguably even better, if only just for the orchestral backing.

Thankyou Shirley for your lovely comment, and obviously I totally agree, Truly wonderful,.. I can't help but be moved by his voice, and as I say above, he always puts so much feeling into all he sings. Regarding your question, this video was taken from a recording made around 37 years ago, hence the none HD quality, (still great though isn't it!) however, I am not able to tell you if Stuart still performs for concerts, but there is a website dedicated to him for fans, and if you enquire there, you're certain to get an answer. I know there is a lovely CD available, and of course, there are the video clips I've uploaded here for everyone's pleasure. I do hope this helps. Thanks again, Graham.

Just listened to Placido Domingo's version of this with Itzhak Perlman. Stuart Burrows is by far the better singer
