    As someone in medicine, the most interesting aspect of this vid to me was Papa talking about his diabetes & how certain attitudes of physicians towards obesity made him stop seeking healthcare. Please do a full video on this, bc it's such a major issue facing our population

    • @69bluntgod
      @69bluntgod 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well ive been obeese i live in a family of obeese. Dealing with obeese people, is why that attitude exists. Farther we fly closer to the sun our wings are sure to melt. My grandma was 600 pounds and she never let her self get photographed for years. She hated going to the doctor ebcause the seats were too small.
      We dont have infastructure for people that size, because people shouldnt be even half that size. Accomadating does not mean adapting and allowance.
      ITs a hard topic but obeese people are why its such a debate. Cause lets face it. yeah there are some chubbier fat doctors. But most doctors are going to be in better shape. On the opposite spectrum and genuinely have never ever ever been close to the obeese perspective on life.
      ANd most obeese people believe theyre stuck in it like tar.

    It really comes down to this question, do we want equality or not? If we as a society can’t even come to a conclusion on something as simple as equality of speech, than there really is no point in even entertaining the idea of equality.

    My only issue is that a majority of the times white people don't actually find it offensive. Alot of times it's just trying to call out hypocrisy more than actually having a problem with the word. I get it personally because I've rarely used the term and when I did it was after someone called me a slur.
    A better way to convey the message is for people to say essentially what papa gut said because it's hard to take the argument seriously when they say they don't find it offensive to begin with.
    It's like being called goofy by someone from Chicago. I like in Oklahoma and that's not a Insult. I'm actually pretty fucking goofy myself. But since I know it's being used to disrespect me. I will take offense if someone from Chicago say it too me.
    This will help people understand that way its not coming off as disingenuous.

    • @HP-sq2fp
      @HP-sq2fp 3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    Dr. Gut how do i come on your show. I am black american. The black diaspora, and its intrinsic issues are very interesting and complex. BUt you are correct, non-black americans often hate us, but thats the OLDER generation (their parents). Their children (Late millenials and Gen Z) now consider themselves Black, whereas their parents did not.
    Interesting fact. Most black west africans come here as professionals, just like Chinese immigrants. They hold degrees and are upper-class when they migrate here, which is why there was such an anti-black american and anti-poor sentiments in their household.

    I watch Blackadder (love the series) and they use the term “dago” which is insulting to Italians. I’m Italian, but it doesn’t bother me. I think perhaps because someone hasn’t attacked me racially so it doesn’t have that feeling attached to it. But if anyone says my ADHD isn’t real I’m like, “ok you’re going down.” Because I deal with that shit all the time and people are serious about it and it’s a damaging narrative. I understand ADHD isn’t about racism but I needed to compare it to
    Something people say to me that does get an emotional response from me often.
    (Btw if someone does comment here about it not being real or wants to debate, don’t bother. Just Google ADHD and why it sucks shit for people who have it.)

      Blacks have been historically dehumanized and gained some semblance of control with reclaiming what was once used against them. literally nobody is affected by being called cracker, nor was historically used as a pejorative, it honestly feels like a group of white nationalists wanted to gain pity points.

    • @TexKimball
      @TexKimball 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@MasteroftheRitz No one here is comparing a semantical relation to people's suffering. The people who incessantly insert this point, like you, are the ones that do. Honestly, this comes off as a soft-rationalization for the continued use of cracker as a slur. The only people directly comparing them as some kind of equal are a tiny handful of looney right wingers who pander to their audience to paint a picture of white-victimhood, people love to use their shitty hot takes to paint every dissenter with a broad brush like we don't understand that the n-word has history.
      Also, just because it wasn't used historically as a pejorative, why use that as a reason to brush aside its contemporary usage and shut down people who justifiably don't want to be called a cracker? I honestly don't get this perspective. Who's to say it won't be used that way in the future? Who's to say people aren't negatively affected by being called cracker?Probably just a good idea not to call people slurs based on their race, no? The whole point of the original fiasco was about enforcing the ToS anyways, probably not a good idea to call people racial slurs, regardless of historical usage.
      In regards to OP's comment, yes calling it the c-word is dumb and not necessary.

      That wasn’t his opinion it was that you could say the N word In private as apart of jokes or songs that already have the word in it. That’s vastly different than pulling a Hasan or Ethan doing the it’s not racist to literally yell cracker at white people only cuz their white and it gets them mad. As papa gut said in another video it’s racist your just making excuses to only be that way towards white people and morally grand stand when it happens to anyone not white.
