My friend and I got it to 117 mph in a short, narrow road with NO effort.. The "not for speed freaks" statement is almost false. It's a wonderful car. It's got a great "get-up-and-go" and can haul a** down the road. I love it.
Unfortunately to make this car cheaper, you can notice it in the fit and finish inside the car, besides in several plastic materials such the central console just to name one

Don't get me wrong, most of your reviews and their content are good, gives me all the information I'd want to know. Some things that stick to me is mostly with what you compare cars to and say they are a good value. This doesn't compete with the ATS or the A4. You are mixing things, this is with the Verano, ILX, A3, cars that are not "compact sport sedans". But that's just me being nit picky.

I do wonder about some of the design, such as that touch screen looking like an after thought. When I buy a car I have myself in mind and anyone who is going to ride along and that back seat needs more head room even with the fancy sunroof. How much do you like your Verano Turbo? I'm looking at a used one with the manual.

I find nothing "sexy" or cool what so ever about thouse circular air vents. They give me a feeling of a very old car (I think: W126 from the 80s). 2014 CLA with these vents looks like an attractive young girl wearing her grandmother's shoes.

Wanted to like it and was going to buy one. The shift selector design was so stupid. Some of the interior components looked like plastic american garbage. Eco start stop is a stupid idea for any car, let alone a Merc. I am sick of all these weak/overboosted 2.0 4 cly. engines ( i dont care if they make 1000hp, its simply a bad idea overall. Just make a good NA 6 please. The reliability reports of this car are horrible with almost everything going wrong and the trans popping out of gear while driving or not being able to get into gear without restarting the car. Technology is making cars so unreliable, and unsafe. This is why old Mercedes will last forever and these new ones are disposable cars for people who lease them (they rent it....). I grew up with german cars but I am loosing faith in them as a whole. There are very few newer Mercs BMWs or Audis I would buy right now. Even Porsche is loosing their soul, performance aside, just make a good car that works. Leave the stupid tech do-dads to the Japanese or Tesla. I want simple refinement and understatement and NO PLASTIC in my german cars.
I am a MB fan i own a GLK & had an E-class, and a 2002 S class back then, this car just screems FAKE. its marketed just you can say you own a "Mercedes Benz". If you do want a MB just get a C class, not this tool.

Saw this on the road. Was only impressed by the rear end... But it doesn't look that menacing or that wide..... Looks okay

Working for Buick, I've learned a lot of people really like the ride. Verano is superb. I'm getting one in October.
As long as I have my 5 year 70 thousand mile warranty I'm fine.and ask Mercedes regular is fine

trust me, get in a real MB (c, E CLS, S GLK, ML, G and then get in this, BIG difference. but you do get what you pay for. and never get a MB in FWD!!!
