- I intended to mill at least a few of the remaining logs that have occupied my truck and trailer for weeks, but impediments of my own making kept me busy at the mill all afternoon without even starting the engine.

The storing/stickering of fresh boards seems to be a common problem. We have to constantly juggle things to make room. I love it when a neighbor brings logs and leaves with the boards so we don't have to find a space.
I've never milled other people's logs. It must be nice, not having to store lumber.

I didn't make it, but I don't remember where I bought it. It's handy for moving small trailers in tight spaces.

Gotta keep moving. On days I sit all day, my back hurts when I lie down at night. If I spend a few hours every day doing things, especially if they involve lifting, no back pain.
Good video. I need to make a bucking stand for my slab cuts one of these years! lol...maybe this spring I'll get it done.
Rectangular sawbucks hold a lot more wood than the conventional X-type, and you can build it to match the length of your saw.
Ok, theres no room for winch on other side of mill, but there is room for a pulley.... Drive up to center log with ATV at 90 degree angle dangle, run cable to pulley on other side of mill that is attach to mill wall then back to the log, run cable over top of log in center of log and down around under log, then back to wall on other side of mill, the log will roll very easy, AKA Parbuckle....
That would work just fine, but doing all that would take longer than rolling it on with the cant hook.

I like your videos. Other than that experience, have you had good luck with the skidding cone?
Skidding cone works just fine. Next spring, I'm going to attach a GoPro to a log and send it down the hill freefall with the cone.

I do not know why TH-cam does not make ALL NOTIFICATIONS the default when viewers subscribe. Many people subscribe to my channel and tell me they don't get notifications. It's not enough just to click the damn bell.
There's more to it than that, since I am subscribed with the bell notification listed as "All". I do that with all my subscriptions. But youtube still doesn't always tell me each time a new video comes out. Go figure!
Well I've seen it all now. A condom on a log! 😂 great idea and I'm sure with more thought, it could work.
Sometimes the solution to a problem is more trouble than the problem.
