As a Star Wars characters once said, "A fine addition to my collection!" Absolutely gorgeous figures, and they'll slot in nicely to the PNSO Pinacosaurus I own, now to hope we get a proper Tarchia, to full the main trio of Asiatic Ankylosauridae
Even better, it was someone from the original hexalogy and not from the sequels that as far as I am concerned, don't exist 😁 It will indeed make a fine addition! It's a bit of a pity the PNSO Pinacosaurus is too big for 1:35, but if PNSO makes a Tarchia in the same scale as that, or HLG makes one in the same scale as this, it would be a nice collection of the essential trio!
Haha, true on that, but I agree, do hope we get too see either company do a Tarchia. At this point I wouldn't even mind something from CollectA or Safari LTD if it's worth the admission! Again, awesome video, can't wait for the next upload!
Well done , an absolutely splendid in-depth review of the Haolonggood Saichania model👍 I was blown away when I received mine. Besides the Gastonia and the Diabloceratops, this is a model worth getting both variations 👏 small things come in good packages 📦 😂. I wonder what's next from them in anticipation.🤗 I can't wait for their Einiosaurus and Camarasaurus. I waited too long to get the Linghu Art Studio Camarasaurus father and son, and it sold out quickly.😢 now I am on track to snap anything that pops up😅. My airbrush got used so often that it gave up on me recently. I hope to upgrade to a better quality 🙏, but I need to research which is best. Let's just say airbrushing is just superior since I've discovered it. Although it's been out there for a while now 😊 by the way, I just received my Ruyangosaurus by KM Studios. The Tarchia is another Mongolian model that I managed to obtain from dinosauria creatures.
You said it! I always either give away or store one of the two colours, but annoyingly, the HLG Saichania, Diabloceratops and Chasmosaurus are occupying double space on my ankylosaur shelf now! 😅 There is a saying I learnt when I was buying Transformers, and that is, "Pay now or pay later." Either you buy something you like immediately, even if it looks expensive now, or when it's sold out later, you have to pay even more because deep down you always knew you wanted it lol! Although I'm guessing from your comments that you do get a lot of higher end statues. For someone who can paint, it is definitely worth it! You actually should really have a page showing off your paint jobs! I am sure we would love to see what you've done with these quality kits! I'm guessing your sauropod collection is awesome!
Haven't finished the video but Phenomenal content as always I'm sure. Just out of curiosity is there any dinosaur lineage or prehistoric animals you wouldnt collect? All the best Matthew
Thank you! I hope it doesn't disappoint! I prefer mostly those that are models that were more scientifically-based when made, and don't get toylike figures, such as the Mattel JP ones, and in general except for a few iconic ones like the Brachiosaurus and the T Rex, I don't get any of the JP ones. I do have a couple of BOTM ceratopsians, but tha's about it for articulated figures for me. Needless to say Schleich and Papo are out for me as well. Some of these are fine figures art-wise, but I have so little space left that I have to save it, not to mention money! 😁
@@DinosDragons yeah that's completely understandable. I'm also not too partial to articulated figures or those outside of scientific accuracy. Also I remembered you were hesitant on getting the monster hunter creators model alatreon due to the short wings, well I got one it's actually the very tips of the wings that seem to be stubby, the rest of the membrane and wing frame seems to be decently proportioned.
@@DinosDragons take your time man. I recommend taking a look at the fatalis model as well, pose is a bit boring but overall great sculpt, albeit based on the original design with a 'dulaped' style neck
I love Saichania’s posture, I think haolonggood gives its ankylosaurs more dynamic and natural postures than other companies do often. The dynamic and energetic way they have them walking or trotting gives them so much life. I’ve got this guy, the Edmontonia and Euoplocephalus as well and the pnso pinacosaurus; and the haolonggood animals just feel more alive
It's interesting how many viewers hold very different opinions! But HLG herbivores are for my money, the best offering we have received from _any_ company in a long while! I finally have Edmonotonia, Ouranosaurus, and an updated Xenoceratops from them. And even though many feel their postures look rather static, I like these more neutral poses.
If you can remember, in your Euoplocephalus review video, I said, 'I wondered who would give us a Saichania chulsanensis figure'. Well, look who it is. It's none other than our friendly Haolonggood. Saichania is my favorite ankylosaurid, and since I was a kid, I always wanted to have a Saichania figure. Now my wish is fulfilled. And I will try my best to buy this amazing figure someday. Especially that gray version. The face is missing that pig nose-like appearance. And in their promotional images, I thought the forelimbs looked so inaccurate and ugly. But up close, they look so fine and natural. Thank you so much, my dear sir, for giving us these valuable videos. You are the best. Keep up the fantastic work, and I am excited for the next video. 🖤🖤
Thank you! Well keep wondering and your dinosaur wish will come true.... courtesy of HLG most likely! Indeed I can't thank HLG enough for all it's given the community, especially when it comes to overdue herbivores. So excited to see their upcoming dinosaurs if this is the standard they can achieve for small dinosaur!
Hey dinodragons, when are you gonna review the PNSO "Maxim" Baryonyx? I'm super looking forward to it after the absolute monstrosity that hlg gave us (sorry to hlg, but theropods are not your specialty) But other than that, hlg did an amazing job on this Saichania, even though I'm not too familiar with this dinosaur, your review helped me to know even more about this beautiful creature!
Thank you, that's what I hope my reviews can do: get people interested in more! There is alot more to learn and the science advances so speedily it's hard to keep up! The Baryonyx is up already as I am sure you've seen!
Saichania seems to have been overshadowed by Pinacosaurus and especially Tarchia after Prehistoric Planet but it's such a beautiful animal. Ankylosaurids in general deserve more appreciation then they currently get and this model certainly does it justice.
This really is a very very nice piece. HLG really has levelled up multifold and for such a small model, the amount of detail and the quality of the paintjob is just incredible! Ankylosaurids really need more representations. I am hoping for more from HLG! And maybe one day PNSO will finally go back to diversity like it used to.
Excelente review!
Is the greyer one to the right at 2:02 the Zhu Gui color variant, as Aliexpress calls it for? I get so unsure now of which one I ordered as the colors in your hand differ a little from the promo images. Thanks!
This brand's line of armored dinosaurs is starting to be interesting. And I'm also starting to see the advantage of their small size... they take up less space 😂
Unfortunately no. I am currently way backlogged; been sitting on the PNSO Suchomimus for example, and my poor dragons have been really missing some love on this channel. Weirdly, my camera also doesn't capture the colours of the Gastonia well, so it will not be an accurate review. I might do one in the far future, but I'm now 7 videos behind where I wanted to be 😢
I am sure if anyone were to do a theropod justice, it would be PNSO. On the other hand, Alectrosaurus is relatively fragmentary, so would it still interest you?
@@DinosDragons While alectro is fragmentary, there's a referred specimen (albeit somewhat tentatively) that is much more well known including a full skull.
