turned out awesome ! i too prefer to use head torches with standard batteries. i got an older black diamond torch that runs on AAA's, works awesome for work and camping, when it goes flat you just replace the batteries and it keeps going
With a prize like this i could give my 1995 pathfinder and home made camper (Nick named Ettamogah) to my son(30 years old) and see Australia with my two girls (14 &15) just like the Layland Brothers did.... And as a full time single dad.. it would be the best times ever....

Cool build. Good luck to who ever wins that. I thought the winch negative cable on the battery was supposed to be wired on the shunt side of the terminal not straight onto the battery terminal, due to the dmax having a "smart alternator"?

Can it be converted to manual transmittion? I really like the manual aspect but does it make any difference with serviceing and does it have the ability for more control on beach and bush driving ive always bought manual cars whats the diff with auto to manual? Its an awesome build but your right people will convert it to their needs i cant believe you guys have covered alot of gear in this build . God i love dmax's .
