You are so right, it's very hard and lonely at times being a reseller, especially without a significant other and depending on the ones we have met on TH-cam in this reselling community. It can always be worse; it can always be better, and we each have our own crosses to carry not making any one of us better than the other. Mental health is so important and when you share your struggles you help those that are going through the same thing and really don’t have anyone to talk to or haven’t really recognized it in themselves. You were recommended to me so I’m a new subscriber now. I’ve been on eBay for 22 years going on 23 later this year. Last year was brutal for me and I’ve been struggling a little bit this year myself mentally. I also had a big surgery that hit me out of the blue in September . I had a heart attack and had to have a quadruple bypass. I had no idea it was coming I did not know I was having any issues at all. it knocked me out for the rest of the year pretty much it was in the middle of September and I really didn’t do much listing for the rest of the year . My husband had just retired June 1 due to some leg issues from two spinal surgeries and he just couldn’t work anymore and he was only going on 63 and I’m only 64 so we did not have Medicare and unfortunately we bought some insurance that we were misinformed on and it turns out it wasn’t real health insurance it was some kind of other product that helped you pay your bills but they can use pre-existing conditions. As soon as they got my bill for the hospital they found out that I had pre-diabetes by going through my records and canceled my policy through the beginning which basically rescinded it which means I owe the entire 136,000. Plus whatever bills come along so it’ll be about 150,000 when the dust settles. Luckily it’s a nonprofit hospital and they will work with us , and have charities that will help, but to say 2024 was not stressful would be a lie. I’m still not back to listing as much as I should but , but working on it ! But , hearing your story lets me know I’m not alone , that a lot of us are going through things right now. I hope you have a great 2025 and I’m looking forward to following you and seeing what you do this year. When you’ve had such an epically bad year you know the new year is gonna be better for sure and that’s all we can hope for!😊 I hope it’s an amazingly great year for you and all of us!
2024 was my lowest grossing year reselling. 2025 will be my 6th year. But I know that the season of life I’m in (I have 3 little kids) is just not conducive to making large goals and I’m ok with that! You’ve got this! It’s a new year and you can do this! 💜

Part of my debt is due to not doing my eBay work between May and September in 2024. My fourth quarter was good. I know you can build your store back up. Try to make lots and give buyers a good deal. This will help you build momentum. I am sure you have helped many people with your open and honest video.
I hope you felt relieved making this video, it’s sad for us to know you were struggling but you’re back on the road and that’s important. May I also suggest having an activity or friends outside of reselling, I am nothing without my quilting friends and going to an occasional quilt retreat. It helps!
Good for you! I just subscribed to your channel. I’m a new eBay and PM reseller. I had a retail store for 15+ years that I was forced to close in 2010. It was sad and I can relate to the depression. SO glad to be a part of a community who supports each other.

Bless your heart you have really had a tough year. But it shows how strong you are because you are now sitting in front of everyone which shows you picture yourself up and you’re working through. It doesn’t mean that you feel great physically or mentally but you are doing what you need to dowhich shows a lot of of courage and bravery. As bad as all that stuff is, it is in the past and they’re not gonna walk you in jail for nonpayment so you will have all of the stuff behind you before you know it you are very inspirational.

I haven’t done many videos and had a really hard time getting motivated after being out for weeks on end. And I would feel like giving up. I have a part time job, a company Iv been with for 20+ years - however , new management has created a complicated environment for me to be in and I’m determined to lower my hours and days down to 2! Ive been watching your channel for a while. I was a reseller for years on ebay. This was before youtube reseller channels. I was a single mom who had been laid off from a corporate job. I was actually very successful reselling BUT it got to me mentally. Even after going back into the corporate world i continued to resell until my girls were grown. I quit reselling. I took classes online on identifying and appraising items. I miss the reselling but for my own benefit i just sit back and watch others. (I'm the one that told you the doll was a cabbage patch soft sculpture doll) . Keeping you in my prayers for a successful reselling and mentally year.

I love your openness. While there are so many positives to being a reseller there are definitely times where it's exhausting. I'm still in the hobby phase and use it for extra income. I'm just starting to dip my toes into content creating, which is exciting so far. When it's not fun I can step away for a few days (except for shipping). Have you thought about pallets for a source? I know a few resellers that buy them, but I don't have the room for storage right now. I hope you have a great and successful 2025.

You should do well with bras.i resell bras and have made money doing it. Something I did recently was delist items that were under 15 dollars. I'm not sure how i came across your video but it is very refreshing to hear someone talk about mental health and how it can affect your reselling business. I just want to spill my guts out about my last 4-5 years of reselling, uncontrollable personal circumstances and my downward spiral. My ebay is basically dead and im sitting on thousands of dollars worth of inventory and dont even know where to go from here. Going back to bed and crying now. 😭 We should be friends...btw lol

Darling, although it's a bit of a different journey, you could have been talking about me so many times! The physical struggles, the loneliness, the mental health issues, all so me. All me trying to figure out goals i want to keep, not procrastinating due to sorrow & just overcoming fears & loneliness, going to therapy & taking my medicine. I have to figure out how to love myself enough to have the surgeries so I can get back to making soap, candles, and whatever else I may want to generate more income again. I have to let myself heal from the devastating death of my mother & the nightmare of realizing that 25 years after my accident I am needing, yet another, massive surgery & that it IS NOT a reflection of me being a failure or bad person. And YOU are not a failure! You simply had circumstances out of your control! It's simply the truth of what happened to us & we are strong enough to handle it & make changes! I have to believe I am talented and worthy of friends! I am so thankful for the family/friends I have gotten through this community! I will be praying for you Angie and we can do this together! I find you inspiring and I look forward to making this journey with you in 2025! I am here for you and appreciate you very much! 🙏🏻🌸🙏🏻

Wow did this ever grab my attention. Zero debt to major debt. Check. Surgeries? I had 3. Cancer (they got it all) & knee replacement. The crushing loss of my beloved cat to cancer. (I'm still crying over her daily.) Depression? Check. Obesity? Check. Lost 90,gained back 25. Currently struggling to start over with the meds. I am buried in unlisted clothing. Trying to make sure I get 6 listings up a day. My saving grace is having a husband who rescues me on a regular basis. But as I tell myself every day. I can do this. I can take the photos, I can list the items. I can donate the shitty stuff. I can sell this hoard. I can take my house back. I can pay off this debt. I can keep losing the weight. 2024 was the second worst year of my life. The worst was 1992 when my mother died 33 years ago today. Ok let's share this journey. ❤
$60k debt and a variable income with bouts of depression seem like drastic changes would be in order. I’m curious the strategy that will get that debt paid off? eBay alone? Praying you find balance with life soon! A job may be just what is needed imo
