Those roses are stunning. Home grown roses are a scent from my childhood - shop bought just never smell the same! The Exiles sounds disturbing and fascinating. I find Pamela Anderson’s story fascinating so may have to pick that up. Christopher Pike and RL Stine - blasts from the past! Love the old covers. Aww cute pet footage!
Being out in nature, working in the yard and my orange tabby cat 🐈 bring me joy. I thought Christina Baker Kline’s A Piece of the World was good so I would like to try The Exiles. 24:19
You need a personal videographer 📹 Beautiful Roses 🌹 I bet they are loving the heat right now! I will have to see if I can find Exiles! Zelda seems to be doing well. Olive and the hose was classic!
A videographer would be nice! I think you would enjoy the Exiles. Zelda is doing pretty good! We got Olive a dog pool, she doesn't know it yet, we're waiting for a really hot day. It should be fun to see her reaction.
Beautiful Roses! I read a Ronald Malfi book it was really good. I can't remember the name of it...I will look and try to remember to let you know which one. 😊
@@BooksCauseInsomnia I can not find where I have reviewed these two but I remember reading and enjoying them. Floating Staircase and Night Parade. I did find where I read Come with me and I didn't care for that one as much. It wasn't awful just didn't grab my attention. 😃
Im reallllly hoping to read jawbone this weekend! I just got a copy and have high hopes! But i did start the audio and was already getting confused haha so i knew i needed a physjcal copy or there was no way!😅
I remember enjoying my time with The Exiles but I felt like the young native girl that was taken in never got any real time to her story or a proper conclusion by the end. She seemed "exiled" from the story by the end but not in an intentional or meaningful way. I wanted more of her perspective near the end good or bad and thought she was ignored. Other than that I enjoyed the book and learned a lot about the time and place!
Yes! So true. It was odd because the book really went into what each of the girls went through to end up in the town they were in, but, you are so right, there wasn't much time on her story and there was no conclusion for her.

I was stunned by the Pamela Anderson one. The covers on the 90s books are glorious.
I want to read The Butcher. Keep the pet pics coming🥰
Love the roses and the mug! And the babies, of course. 💚
Beautiful roses. Sounds like you had a good group of reading for the month.

Going to listen as I drive but may have to come back later to look at pets! 😂 love the diversity of your reading ❤
Thanks my friend!

I would love to know which one you enjoyed. I could probably look up his other works and just read them all. 🤣

That's good that you got a physical copy. Hopefully it's less confusing that way. 😅
I can't believe I forgot to ask. What brings you joy lately?
