I love how the legs can be posed using the included Imperial screwdriver tool. I initially thought that the legs would be fixed to be able to handle the weight. Nice job, Lego!

How Lego employees manage to design such accurate models that are full of functions and don't fall apart in your hands is beyond me.
How lego employees manage to design something as amazing as this for 800€ and then build complete trash when it comes to the rest of the star wars sets for an affordable price this year is beyond me
@@paul0596 Maybe it's budgeting, they're running out of ideas or it's the lack of passion for the Star Wars franchise.
@@repapeti98 i think its the latter 2 reasons. They did a really good job on all the old sets and they were at a reasonable price too
@@paul0596 But older sets didn't include tiny specialised pieces like we have today. They try to cram in as much detail in as little space as they can, that adds to the part count and that bumps up the price. I'm not talking about technic pins and 1x1 studs, but 1 wide, 2 tall brackets, pieces in uncommon colours, special figure moulds and prints.
@@repapeti98 my bet is budgeting as well. It’s the same reason why so many Marvel minifgures (like Captain America) are completely void of leg printing- there is a set amount of minifigures they can create that use leg printing.
I love that they used Octan oil vats for the fuel.
Octan oil is the Emperor's favorite oil supplier
I always love seeing at ats in places that aren’t snowy like in Jedi fallen order where it’s in the water

Well, it is an "All terrain armored transport", so it is used in many terrains

You might have to sacrifice 80 Santa Clauses and 80 elves to... I dunno, some secret research lab, in order to get the set. Either that or future Christmas (and some other) budget for the next few, or even more years

@@hachiroku24 I'm with you, way better than the falcon. There is so much more that has to be figured out to make this one work. Keeping the weight down so it is stable and the legs can hold all the weight. Building enough support for the neck to support the head and allow it to move and on top of all that create a full interior that is true to the actual design. It is a true marvel. I agree 100% that it blows away the Falcon.

0:56 Seeing all those colorful pieces underneath the big, realistic gray for-display build somehow feels reassuring. It's like, the set is telling me that it hasn't abandoned my (and other people's) childhood memory of colorful builds
Falcon is probably still number one ucs set for me still, but this is an incredibly close second!

Your build videos are the best! Far better than speed builds. Here ar least you can really see how the set is built and experience what it is like building a set like this. I imagine it takes you a lot of time and effort to create these videos!
10:05 Rubber tire for friction--that's clever! I kinda hope they can incorporate similar technique in to future AT-AT playset as well, although it might be hard
29:37 Nice simple mechanism for reciprocating cannons. I was thinking about possible methods for this using rubber band or something, but this is much simpler and nicer. Again, hope this can be incorporated into future AT-AT (hope we'll have one)

love the extra unnecessary colored bricks underneath the grey on the outside, it reminds me of playing with legos as a kid building things with mix matched colors, adding to the nostalgia

Yea I got a Ghost Rider set with a completely black car, but it's like a rainbow in the inside and I hate it.
And finaly the first lego at-at that is in correct scale to minifigs
Great build vid and capturing all the additional details throughout. Guess Lego couldn't find a way to strengthen the legs for possibility without the use of a brick built screw driver. Clever work around anyway for such a large scale model. Also reference to Octan fuel during the interior build. Won't be getting but still very impressive.

I don’t like the colour on the inside, yes it’s good for visibility in the instructions, but at least the things that are visible through the cracks/slits should be one unified colour like black or grey or dark grey.

One simply cannot but admire Lego for how they, again and again, manage to sell their heavily overpriced plastic toys while at the same time stuffing their models with all those stupid and unnecessary colours to further decrease production cost (without having the advertised pricing reflect that ofc.)

Hi :D how do you find the size ratio of the torso to the legs. I think that's the one. Torso is too small! because when running, the top joints of the legs are pushed underneath the torso. The legs of the UCS ATAt are much too wide... Do you perhaps have alternative builds? Best regards!

How do you have the legs set? I’m planning to re-attempt this one since I know I messed up with the leg part and had it too much angled. It’s arriving on Thursday, so should I have the legs slightly angled like you see on the box. Like once I install, the legs set it as slightly angled correct?
Actually the instructions shows the "right" ways to pose the legs.
