Between Pefkohori and Xenia beach, there is a natural harbor, a bay, after which the beaches to the right and left of the entrance to this harbor were named Glarokavos beach... From the signs by the road, you will conclude that certain parts of this extremely long beach have different names: Catania ,Porto and Golden Beach...but we will analyze it as the left and right part of Glarokavos beach...
There are two translations for the name Glarokavos...one is a natural bay and the other is a seagull's cape...
The right part that goes to Xenia beach is also a kind of wild camp, so in addition to the extraordinary natural shade and mixed smells of pines and salt water, you will often come across large piles of waste... Now at the beginning of the season, everything is still neat and clean.. .
The beach is narrow, with a slightly better entry into the water at the beginning, immediately after leaving the marina and at the end of the beach, all the way to the right where there is a beach bar in season...
Right at the entrance, a rock stretches through the rest of the part, which makes it difficult to enter the water...
The fine sand, the natural shade under the pine trees and the exceptional color of the water are the characteristics of this part on the right that I personally like the most... Given the somewhat smaller number of visitors, even in the season, one of the reasons for visiting this beach that Glarokavos fans cite is escaping the crowds...
In this part, we met a lot of off-leash, owned dogs, some of which seemed dangerous... and if you go to the beach with children, keep in mind that you can also encounter nudists in the left and right part... All the way to the right, you have two beach bar and in them toilet, shower and cabin for changing, while the rest all the way to the lake is complete wilderness.
This part does not have a lifeguard service or a special entrance for people with disabilities... The approach to the beach is dirt, of poor quality, but you can get to the beach itself by car...
The left part of Glarokavos beach goes all the way to Pefkohori. It is quite wider, with a mixture of sand and gravel on the beach and larger gravel at the entrance to the water... The entrance to the water is clean and safe, but in this part there are sequences with this underwater rock at the entrance that it makes it difficult to get into the water... There are cafes in this part... but also a lot of free space depending on your wishes and habits and possibilities. The approach to this beach is dirt, but much better than the right part, and you can park your car somewhere in the shade...
Toilets, showers and changing cabins are within the beach bars....

Bili na Glarokavosu prosle nedelje, obisli je gotovo celu peske uz plazu. Od table na magistrali gde pise Glarokavos sisli smo do plaze. To je levo od " jezerceta" ( vodenog parka ili vec kako se zove). Na tom mestu je onako, moze se uci u vodu. Ako se krene skroz gore levo ima dosta kamenja i teze je uci u vodu, bos nikako jer je krupno kamenje. Od " jezerceta" desno proteze se duga plaza. Na pocetku je tezi prilaz vodi, mora se sici , krupan sljunak i ima stena koja se proteze skoro duz cele plaze. Dublja je voda. Jedino sto smo uocili je skroz na kraju plaze do bara nema stene ali je dublja malo voda. Po meni Glarokavos je lep zato sto nema kupaca, vrlo malo. Mozete biti sami na dugoj pescanoj plazi, ima hlada dosta, divlja je plaza. Sve je super sem vode, jer nismo mogli da se okupamo. Ko je vest u plivanju i moze da se kupa bilo gde ovde je super. Plaza Ksenija je po meni najlepsa, sitan pesak, mekan, prilaz vodi fenomenalan, plitko, u vodi utaban pesak perfektno. Jedino sto zna da bude guzve u sezoni i sto nema prirodnog hlada, ali u tom delu blizu Pefkohorija Ksenija je najlepsa ko voli da se kupa. Lepo je i za decu

ovo je raj na zemlji, ovo leto bicemo u Haniotiju ali planiramo doci u Glarokavos, da li vam je poznato jel ima neki autobus da vozi do tog mesta ili makar blize pa da se deo ide peske do ove plaze....
