    Watched five minutes of this and ordered the rule book! 😂 I am like a solo rule sponge at the moment, both tactical and campaign, so thank you for this, great job!!

    Looking good Greg. I like the unit ratings approach. I'm up to the shooting / contact phase of the video, so a bit to understand, but plenty of time. My 28mm Prussians from the FPW period have arrived, so like you I've got plenty ahead of me before the Solo rules fully land. Great progress.

    I don't know if it is just perception, and I wouldn't think so with a bell curve distribution, but this feels very swingy from watching. Maybe to decisive with success of engagement? I get, as a solo players, we like uncertainty / friction, but I feel certain if it wasn't for the 'disaster' random event, there doesn't feel like there would be a point to it. Sorry, just initial perspective after a single demo. Look forward to seeing more examples to prove my gut feeling wrong.

      Thanks for taking the time to write and observations. There will be more examples and I appreciate you’ll watch these through too. If you would like to have a longer conversation feel free to drop me a line at editor@wargamingworld.net and I can answer a question if it’s helpful. Thanks again, Greg

      @@WargamingWorld I might take you up on that, after I rewatch the video a couple times to see if I can better express the impression I initially got. I really am excited about a new ruleset tailored for solo wargamers.

    Interesting game! Do the rules include orders of battle for any periods?

    • @WargamingWorld
      @WargamingWorld  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for asking. The rules include army list examples at platoon, battalion and army level - super simple - for different periods aligned to the 10 unit idea. I’ve not looked to add detail, but focused on the mechanics of playing solo as my objectives. Like most wargamers I play lots of different rulesets, multiple sets for the same period and I assume you will have your own favourites. Therefore orders of battle hasn’t been a priority. Really appreciate you asking the question. Thanks Greg

    Looking very good, I particulalry like the way the effect of combat has on a unit, and the variable unit ratings. look forward to the next video, may I suggest a period where close combat/melee is featured. I see me using my wargames room every night now when not at the club. Look forward to the release of the book
