In this video we are playing Ultimate S, a mod by the community that even added Toad as a playable character! It got a lot of upgrades over the years and feels very professional. Toad is also tons of fun to play, even if his recovery kinda sucks :D

It should go higher and allow you to float farther and if you fast fall it does the propeller ground pound from the Mario games
Yeah they should take inspiration from the toad moveset from Project M on the Wii
Excited about how advanced the modding community has become.
Toad is a strange pick to me, but imagine where it could get in the future.
The modders did the impossible and made Lucina gameplay look interesting

What are the pros and cons of modding your switch for Ultimate S?
HDR is shit
@@slukass9631 pros are that you can do the stupidest and coolest things at the same time with skin mods you can take online (granted they are wifi safe) or gameplay changing ones
Cons are that you had to have bought an early mode of the switch to be able to mod it at all 💀. On top of that, you could get your account banned if you arent careful with mods online (but i havent seen that one personally yet

The difference between HDR and Ultimate S is that Ult S is trying to fix and improve the many things in Ultimate while still attempting to keep the same type of gameplay. HDR is just an entire overhaul, it’s not trying to be building off of Ultimate and instead wants to be it’s own game- like Project M
I think the up-b should go a little bit higher and if you have speed, you go sideways more
I wasn't such a Fan of much of the earlier Stuff from the Mod, but this Toad Implementation is amazing o_o

It would be fun to see more videos of them playing this mod but just playing all the characters and just having fun rather than the first part being a character showcase. They are both good at the game but it's unusual in their regular videos for them to just randomly play friendly matches like this and it was super fun to watch

I always thought the idea was that Toad was too cute and pacifist to ever fight like this, but still a welcome mod nonetheless!
Well, Isabelle was already in so...
The difference in animation clarity between Nintendo and the brave souls Evo made this is painfully clear. Most of the time toad just explodes or transforms and its not clear what's happening
Also so much of what he does is not interesting or unique to Toad.
Not to take away anything from Nintendo’s creative and talented minds, but the modders don’t have access to all the dev tools the devs had at their disposal.
It’s probably much more difficult to create new animations for modders than it was for the devs.
I mean yeah. That’s just how it is. Kind of hard for modders to be as talented as veteran developers but what can you do

Seeing mods like this is a painful reminder of the characters that should've made it in the game. Bandana dee, toad, tails, shadow, waluigi (wouldve broke the internet). Ones that feel they should be in, but just aren't. Maybe in another 5ish years we'll see them in smash.
and some movesets that should've been done for certain characters, even if it's only several moves or even just one (Sonic, Ganondorf, Wario, half of the echos like Daisy and Dark Samus most notably, Bowser's F-Smash)
