In no time, you’ll find that it’s been three hours and that essay you didn’t want to do is completely done! For real though, last year we didn’t use or social studies class notebooks, reading class notebooks, and math notebooks. This year they i don’t have to bring Any of that stuff due to my school getting yelled at by a whole bunch of parents wasting their money on things we don’t need 😂
@revisign 0:24 My favorite part of the Back to School Process DEFINITELY has to be the supplies shopping, and I don't think anyone can disagree to that. :)
It makes me nervous to go back at online school again knowing that it might stress us out for once, but also these tips are incredibly helpful for us students. ❤
Also for university I hear the “two notebooks rule” is really helpful, but hard to do in high/secondary school. Basically it’s when you have a rough one for in lessons which you use to get down notes, and the neat one which you copy the notes across. Not only does this help to revise the facts, but also if you are unclear in something it’s made obvious straight away, rather than you thinking you know it but you actually don’t. My biggest problem is that I do exam questions to revise… but I then don’t actually revise the stuff I realise I don’t know from doing those questions. I also find that flash cards/writing stuff down repeatedly helps in English lit for quotes from the lit you study; but when it comes to maths, it’s pure practise; and when it comes to science it’s more explaining it to someone, exam questions, and a little bit of fact Revision. Art is… hoping you do enough.
I fcking hate writing, not like writing diary way, taking notes way. my hands hurt and I don't really understand what I'm writing. I have to read it in the end there was this English teacher in elementary school who made us rewrite all the notes we wrote in the whole semester, only a few students did it. She would say these would affect our grades but it didn't. writing those didn't help me at all, and I learned English more by watching videos with subtitles and Google Translate. -Minecraft mod review videos to be specific-
Im mentally prepared for lectures, homeworks and projects and I like attending to school but I am not fucking mentally prepared for interaction. I hate the first days where its just introduction, catching up with each other, presentation of rules and saint of the class😒 Im tired already I just want to learn. In different I go to school to study and learn not to be constantly reminded of cringy life lessons, school rules and to catch up with classmates and teachers
this is why i miss online school, there u just skip the bs and get right into the necessary learning. you also don't have to interact with people between lessons 😔💔
I just got a job and I’m going into my freshmen year of hs, I found that using things I like such as anime pens or sticker bombing my notebook with anime stickers helps me do work and focus a lot more, I’m spending around 150 of my own money on some items for the school year so that I really do good and enjoy it☺️ it always brightens my day to pick out what character pen I wanna use and what themed notebooks I wanna use☺️
@@xxwafflenookxx2275 oh, here in Saudi Arabia it's 18 everywhere unless it's a small local job, so I thought it was the same in I think America or wherever you are from.
I successfully earned a doctorate degree in clinical psychology…I cannot support more fully the need for getting the right amount of sleep, and keeping your sleep schedule the same on the weekends, so you don’t have Monday “sleep hangover.” Additionally, doing all assignments as they are given, and giving yourself AT LEAST a week to study for exams, as revisign states in her videos will make a huge difference in your grades and overall sanity (reducing anxiety, giving yourself break times, not cramming all night when your brain is tired, etc.). All of the ideas presented here are fantastic, but I wanted to highlight these two specifically for being extremely helpful in grad school for me, and undergrad as well.
when she said the scrolling on social media i immediately sat up bc i was legit doing hw before and i started watching this vid. should probablyyyy go do that now
2:22 it pains me how true this is even considering my last 2 years of high school when everything got shut down for corona. I have toned it down over the years with what I personally consider useful. Now I mainly obsess over things like my black pens since it's what I use most and planners/agendas. Every now and then I'll buy some other stationery for serotonin purposes. Now going into my first year of college, Ill probably only need my laptop
"setting goals based on numerical values" This hits really close for me, since I was a kid I had the first place in mu classroom and I was on the top 5 best students of my whole school, recently everything is getting harder and I feel like I cannot be as good as I used to be. The issue is that now everyone expects the best of me, Once I got a 93 on my english class and the teacher told me "That score is quite low for someone as you", It just makes me push myself to far to get the best scores and avoid judgement
Fr so relatable, I’ve been in some form of advanced classes since first grade and so everyone has very high expectations for me (I’m going into 10th grade now)
As someone who's going into their last year of high school, I'd say only thing to really get is a deep book at with many many pockets, enough big notebooks, and or binders for the number of classes you have, get stuff to wear that's comfortable but also doesn't make you look like a bum, get stuff done on time and try not to miss that much school. Trying to catch up 3 weeks worth of school assignments was awful. And all that was due to covid. Bring your own mini medical kit, masks, hand sanitizer, and plenty of pens bc writing notes will eat that them up. And make sure it's the good kind too cause the crappy ones suck. And make sure you wash your clothes and shower. Do that and you'll be fine
This video was really helpful! I'm back at university after a two year break and one of my biggest corncerns is whether or not I will be able to stay on track with my studies. I used to try reading my text books from cover to cover and take excessive notes. This made my progress reaaally slow and I ended up being so frustrated. It also made exams so much more scary, since I knew there would be a lot of syllabus litterature that I hadn't had time to read. "Studying smarter, not harder has been a really good motto for me lately, and your study tips have been so helpful and motivating! 🙏
I feel like one of the biggest mistakes in high school was not having as much fun as I should've. Of course grades come first, but actually enjoying my time there, appreciating how lucky I was to get an education, making friends, and even being more involved with the school. It would've made my time there a lot more meaningful besides the education part. So appreciate the privilege to be educated, go say hi to that person you've been smiling at in the halls/class, get involved in that club/school event! You only live high school once, so do it your way in the most valuable way you know how :)
@@newseason3917 and that’s okay bc they probably weren’t meant to be yk? sometimes that’s just how it is and honestly it might depend on the school you went to. i didn’t have any friends but it was because i didn’t click with anyone at my school bc i was forced to go to a private school lol. just keep reaching out :) don’t give up yet. and if you end up not making friends, don’t let that bring you down either because you can still accomplish great things and make your time valuable at school still
1) not reflecting on the previous semester, summarizing the lessons you learned, mistakes to avoid. 2) buying an excess amount of stationary items (just for the aesthetics) 3) falling into the mentality that "i can always make up for it later" 4) setting goals based on numerical values or things you do not have control over 5) not maintaining a proper morning routine and sleep schedule 6) scrolling theough social media when you encounter difficult questions or assignments 7) not utilizing free onlines resources to enhance your learning
last year i wasnt really focusing on studies bc of my best friend, but now she left me, meaning i can finally focus on school and go back to having flawless grades
posters work best for me! taken me 5 years of secondary school and 1 year of college to figure it out... but now revising is so easy. I include a lot of diagrams, but it's not jam-packed, and I blu tack them to my wall as a collage next to my desk. It's honestly so helpful. I do recommend
In my country, high school is very dedicated to passing the exams to get into universities, so we can't help but think about numerical values. Even though our grades at the end of the year are good, we still worry about the grades we will get in the entrance exams.
Maintaining a good screen schedule is the most difficult on imo. I have to wake up at 6:00am to get to school on time, which leaves me a bit rushed if I’m to eat breakfast, wash my face, pack my bags, walk the dogs, etc etc, but waking any earlier is pretty unreasonable. I used to wake up at 5-5:30 and it’s just not a viable option for someone like me who struggles getting to sleep quickly
the 3 mistake: saying "I can make up for it later" earlier in the year I used to say that to myself but as I got farther in the year I started to say that after I took my test. But usually I get A's and B's so I didn’t need it that often. 💗

As a contrary point to not looking at the answer immediately, sometimes if you’re really struggling, especially in a mathematical subject, it’s helpful to look at the answer and figure out how they got there :)
My academic goals are 1. Maintain my gpa for the scholarship I'm on. 2. Practice at least 10 minutes per day, no excuses. 3. Be more intentional and disciplined with my study time.

7 mistakes to avoid for back to school: 1. not reflecting in the previous semester, summarizing the lessons you learned, mistakes to avoid. 2. buying an excess amount of stationer items (just for the aesthetics). 3. falling into the mentality that “i can always make up for it later.” 4. setting goals based on numerical values or things you do not have control over. 5. not maintaining a proper morning routine and sleep schedule. 6. scrolling through social media when you encounter difficult questions or assignments. 7. not utilizing free online resources to enhance your learning.
i definitely agree with these tips! im a junior now, but when i was a freshman i would procrastinate in all of my classes so i ended up failing 2 of them. so i had to make them up during summer school. it was the WORST!! i totally recommend doing ur work on time and getting rid of the “i’ll make it up later mindset”.
thank you! this is so helpful,, i was also in the mindset where i thought a different factor affected my my performance, but now that i know, i’ll try a different study method!
The only one that I don’t fully agree with is searching up answers because I feel like that solely depends on the person because some people benefit from seeing the answer to a question but only if they take the time to understand why that is the answer to a question. Other than that great tips
Yessss!!!!! I was waiting for this video even though I already started school today :) I’m planning to be very productive and start my school year strong (I’m 8th grade btw 😭)
I started actually studying for my science test (last one) and rewriting my notes neatly. I was the only one in my class with a passing grade let alone a decent grade
My biggest mistake for year 7 is thinking it started on September 5th and not September 2nd. So basically missed my introduction and tour around the school and not meeting my classmates. :(
I’m not looking forward to my senior year of high school to start, one of my teachers is ableist and it’s made me feel really bad, and I’ll probably have them again this year.
My stationery essentials: A black pen that you like writing with, a green pen for marking your work, a ruler (self explanatory), a rubber (self explanatory - I’m English so rubber not eraser lol), highlighters to make words stand out or to make titles etc and a pencil for maths and subjects where you need to rub out a lot. I would just say the whole time you’re in class just take notes and make them look pretty after. The key thing is to get all of the information that you need down!!
It’s been a year and a half since I graduated. And it been two years and a half since I’ve been in actual school. I start my first year of college in a month, so thanks for these tips!
the first one is already a mistake i have been doing since high school... i only started reflecting on my learnings during college & it's really helpful in improving long-term memory i was not very obsessed w/ stationary but i get bothered so much by how "neat" my writing is 😭 it takes up most of my time i need to train myself to realize that as long as it's organized according to my way of learning the way i write would not affect much
I never have to worry about buying too much stationary because I don’t do it at all. I just grab a pen off the floor or a random bin in my room, shove it in my pocket, and go to school.
I have a tip for people who struggle to focus and procrastinate in the middle of doing work, think of it as if your in school, open a window and put some rain/music on and take 2 minutes to picture a school or calming setting to work in. surprising this mental sub space has helped me work a lot better, lofi rain music worked most effectively for me to picture the environment i wanted to work in!
1. Don't make the same mistakes as last year 2.Buying to much things for school ( just buy what you need) 3. Not making an effort saying "I can make up for it later" 4.Setting Goals on thing you DON'T have control over (miracle number) 5.Not maintaining a morning and night routine 6. Scrolling through social media when something is to long or too hard 7. Don't take advantage of online pages
I never focused on studying and I didn’t take a lot of notes, I DEFINITELY learned from my mistakes. I’d get a c because of one assignment or homework I didn’t do. I’m now much more organized and hopefully this year will be better
2 years ago i tried to be „aesthetic“ by buying a bunch of school supplies and i was so unorganized last year i didnt have so much school supplies which was definitely better but i was super demotivated because i didnt like how my school supplies looked this year i bought only what i need but i bought a prettier version of it and i am way more motivated then last year
The only reason I buy so many pens and pencils, Is because I put things in my pockets when I don’t have time to put them up and end up losing them- I lost most of my writing supplies halfway through the year

I'm currently finishing off my senior year in a global pandemic and you really helped me stay on track and keep me motivated 🍒🍒
Yeah I just finished yr13 and need to resit some alevels in November so I’m using this to help me 😩
@@marissa3415 I'm from Australia so my year 12 is your year 13 I'm guessing
Yup ‘senior year’ as they say in America

Art is… hoping you do enough.
omg this is the first time I've heard of the 2 notebook rule and I love that! thank you for mentioning it here!
I fcking hate writing, not like writing diary way, taking notes way. my hands hurt and I don't really understand what I'm writing. I have to read it in the end
there was this English teacher in elementary school who made us rewrite all the notes we wrote in the whole semester, only a few students did it.
In different I go to school to study and learn not to be constantly reminded of cringy life lessons, school rules and to catch up with classmates and teachers
im not perpared for anything
this is why i miss online school, there u just skip the bs and get right into the necessary learning. you also don't have to interact with people between lessons 😔💔
This is absolute opposite of me 😭😂
fr… i hate talking about myself because we all know that nobody is going to remember what i say 😭
im prepared and excited for the new school year
am i a weirdo-
I just got a job and I’m going into my freshmen year of hs, I found that using things I like such as anime pens or sticker bombing my notebook with anime stickers helps me do work and focus a lot more, I’m spending around 150 of my own money on some items for the school year so that I really do good and enjoy it☺️ it always brightens my day to pick out what character pen I wanna use and what themed notebooks I wanna use☺️
@𝐴𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑎 𝑘yesssssssssss tho I wish I didn’t live somewhere I’d get bullied for it tho hahahahaha😅
how do you have a job if you're like 13 14.
@@ayeshahussain4440the legal age you have to be to start working in my state is 14 ^^
@@xxwafflenookxx2275 oh, here in Saudi Arabia it's 18 everywhere unless it's a small local job, so I thought it was the same in I think America or wherever you are from.

Seeing your friends again is the best part for me 😊
when she said the scrolling on social media i immediately sat up bc i was legit doing hw before and i started watching this vid. should probablyyyy go do that now
2:22 it pains me how true this is even considering my last 2 years of high school when everything got shut down for corona. I have toned it down over the years with what I personally consider useful. Now I mainly obsess over things like my black pens since it's what I use most and planners/agendas. Every now and then I'll buy some other stationery for serotonin purposes. Now going into my first year of college, Ill probably only need my laptop
"setting goals based on numerical values"
This hits really close for me, since I was a kid I had the first place in mu classroom and I was on the top 5 best students of my whole school, recently everything is getting harder and I feel like I cannot be as good as I used to be.
The thing is last year I tried to make friends and I failed miserably
@@newseason3917 and that’s okay bc they probably weren’t meant to be yk? sometimes that’s just how it is and honestly it might depend on the school you went to. i didn’t have any friends but it was because i didn’t click with anyone at my school bc i was forced to go to a private school lol. just keep reaching out :) don’t give up yet. and if you end up not making friends, don’t let that bring you down either because you can still accomplish great things and make your time valuable at school still
@@olivecu843 Aw, thanks :)
1) not reflecting on the previous semester,
summarizing the lessons you learned, mistakes to avoid.
2) buying an excess amount of stationary items (just for the aesthetics)
3) falling into the mentality that "i can always make up for it later"
4) setting goals based on numerical values or things you do not have control over
5) not maintaining a proper morning routine and sleep schedule
6) scrolling theough social media when you encounter difficult questions or assignments

last year i wasnt really focusing on studies bc of my best friend, but now she left me, meaning i can finally focus on school and go back to having flawless grades
posters work best for me! taken me 5 years of secondary school and 1 year of college to figure it out... but now revising is so easy. I include a lot of diagrams, but it's not jam-packed, and I blu tack them to my wall as a collage next to my desk. It's honestly so helpful. I do recommend
I am so gonna try This! Thank you❤️
Starting college next week, I’m hoping these tips come in useful and I can keep myself accountable!🤩🦋

i buy alot of stationery! Not for the aesthetics but i also use them alot, thats why i always buy alot of stationery.I always run out.
I really appreciate this type of content, as a student with ADHD I struggle with motivation. Your content helps a lot.
This is actually helpful! Thank you!
I always see ppl be like "stop procrastinating" and "sleep enough" lmao but never really elaborate
What I do for studying(this is for phrases/verses) is read the first line, then repeat that line but add the second line, and so on 😊
the 3 mistake: saying "I can make up for it later" earlier in the year I used to say that to myself but as I got farther in the year I started to say that after I took my test. But usually I get A's and B's so I didn’t need it that often. 💗
This was super useful especially the procrastination part about checking Instagram for instant satisfaction was bang on! And every single tip was very useful!!
omggg perfect timing!! i literally start school tomorrow and it’s my first day of junior year! tysm for this vid!
Good luck!

I have to take all three of my classes online because we only have one car. So miss being able to go to campus. I live over one in a half hours away from campus and can’t wear a mask. Love your videos. They help me so much. Thank you.
Did you just pinpoint all of my mistakes last year- lmao
Last year for me was an extremely roller coaster ride. I had so many problems encountered especially in my mental health and ended up giving up my grades, to heal my mental health. I never regret it, but my grades were disappointing to look at. I'm going to improve it this year slowly, surely, and wholeheartedly.💚
Thank you for these essential tips!!
stationary motivates me when theyre cat themed, they're absolutely needed (i actually use them a lot tho)
i like everything of mine being pink and cat themed and i mean everything the pink or cat stuff in my room is uncountable no like literally
My goal for this upcoming school sholl year is to understand everything what my teacher says about, study well and work hard for achieving my goals.Be productive while staying organized and make to be actatic.Do get good score in exames. i always watch these types of videos before school starts and actually follow them for the first few weeks, then i just give up 😭
What is your study schedule every day after uni?? I need one I'm freshman in high school this year and know nothing about studying!!!
I spent so much time on note taking last trimester, it's true. We need to keep reviewing and reflecting. I'll try to balance out my reading and writing of study materials
Omg girl.. I saw your video just now, aaaand.. It was EXTREMLY helpful! I was so stressed every day in the last school year, and I just found the right way of studying because of you! Thank soooo much! Big love from Slovakia!
Whenever I get books for school to like take notes I always end up drawing in them instead cause im bored😭😭
When I was in seventh grade I fell behind like a lot I was months and months behind but I ended up barely passing and when I started eighth grade last year I was worried that I was going to end up doing the same thing as before but instead I finished a couple months early
why does this look so aesthetically pleasing? my school cannot relate to this 🤡🤡
Her theme is so soft and aesthetic ❤❤
“Don’t fall into the mindset of ‘I can just make up for it later”
Fr fr I failed 3 classes because of this and I promise you it’s just easier to try your best the first time
**edited cause of typos **
I love the haul, aesthetic and efficient! Can’t wait to go back to school in an f2f setting 💞
7:15 my best tip is that always keep your phone on do not disturb, grayscale and most importantly remember why you are studying and what you want to accomplish. It has helped me realise my focus and keep my phone away.
Hope this helps! ;)
7 mistakes to avoid for back to school:
1. not reflecting in the previous semester, summarizing the lessons you learned, mistakes to avoid.
2. buying an excess amount of stationer items (just for the aesthetics).
3. falling into the mentality that “i can always make up for it later.”
4. setting goals based on numerical values or things you do not have control over.
5. not maintaining a proper morning routine and sleep schedule.
6. scrolling through social media when you encounter difficult questions or assignments.
7. not utilizing free online resources to enhance your learning.
i definitely agree with these tips! im a junior now, but when i was a freshman i would procrastinate in all of my classes so i ended up failing 2 of them. so i had to make them up during summer school. it was the WORST!! i totally recommend doing ur work on time and getting rid of the “i’ll make it up later mindset”.
thank you! this is so helpful,, i was also in the mindset where i thought a different factor affected my my performance, but now that i know, i’ll try a different study method!
Bro it’s too early for this to be in my recommended, im not ready T_T
My biggest mistake for year 7 is thinking it started on September 5th and not September 2nd. So basically missed my introduction and tour around the school and not meeting my classmates. :(
I like this type of vids for back to school vids instide of showing the supplies
Thank you for what not to do I never even knew that I actually made these mistakes
I’m not looking forward to my senior year of high school to start, one of my teachers is ableist and it’s made me feel really bad, and I’ll probably have them again this year.
This video came out a long ago, but I found this so helpful ❤
'Don't buy excess stationary'
Meanwhile me 😵 i always run out of pens but struggle to buy new ones 🤣 ( pandamic results)
im gonna focus on my grades more. i was involved in so much drama this year cause of my friends. so im gonna focus more on school
✨✨✨ v e r y n i c e
the first one is already a mistake i have been doing since high school... i only started reflecting on my learnings during college & it's really helpful in improving long-term memory
i was not very obsessed w/ stationary but i get bothered so much by how "neat" my writing is 😭 it takes up most of my time i need to train myself to realize that as long as it's organized according to my way of learning the way i write would not affect much
People waatching this in 2024

I never have to worry about buying too much stationary because I don’t do it at all. I just grab a pen off the floor or a random bin in my room, shove it in my pocket, and go to school.
Step 1: go to a school that allows that
i loved your tip ..initially i though you were going for the cliche as everyone does..but I'm more than amazed with the tips you shared

Don't call me out like that🤓

I honestly needed to watch this video because I am literally making all these mistakes and it’s only been the first 3 weeks. So thanks for the advice.
bold of you to assume i study.

Omg thank you im gonna need this alottt
this is going to help me a LOT next year
as a writer I lose pens so much to the point where I need to keep buying more.
I need to get organized-
1. Don't make the same mistakes as last year
2.Buying to much things for school ( just buy what you need)
3. Not making an effort saying "I can make up for it later"
4.Setting Goals on thing you DON'T have control over (miracle number)
5.Not maintaining a morning and night routine
6. Scrolling through social media when something is to long or too hard
7. Don't take advantage of online pages
I never focused on studying and I didn’t take a lot of notes, I DEFINITELY learned from my mistakes. I’d get a c because of one assignment or homework I didn’t do. I’m now much more organized and hopefully this year will be better
2 years ago i tried to be „aesthetic“ by buying a bunch of school supplies and i was so unorganized last year i didnt have so much school supplies which was definitely better but i was super demotivated because i didnt like how my school supplies looked this year i bought only what i need but i bought a prettier version of it and i am way more motivated then last year
i'm going into year 8 (7th grade) this year and this is helping me so much and the year hasn't even started yet
Am going to 7th grade next year and this really helps am trying to fix my hand writing and to make it nicer 🙂

The only reason I buy so many pens and pencils, Is because I put things in my pockets when I don’t have time to put them up and end up losing them- I lost most of my writing supplies halfway through the year

I'm definitely guilty of some of these. 😭 thanks for the reminder.
