Dark States: Luquier (DZ Set 3) Deck Profile

- Hey guys, it's Vanity Ezel back at it again with another Cardfight Vanguard deck video. This time we have the famous moonlight circus of Dark States taking to the stage to dazzle all with masterful illusions. These stage-men are of the Silver Thorn troupe, a magical circus group from the long forgotten clan of Pale Moon who plan on reviving the nation's spark with their performances. This group is led by Venus Luquier, who after years of taming dragons has become the Empress among all of the winged beasts, reigning supreme as the Dragon Queen. Hope you guys enjoy. For anyone that's gonna play Venus - please for the love of god, don't waste your money on Bubetsu. I feel like Bubetsu is such a noob trap card for the deck that won't really need to put in CC anymore. Overall, I do agree that you can certainly run rainbow triggers now all things considered. It's not such a bad idea when Venus already can get to 23k on her own when the old one is in the soul and another 5k on her on-attack skill.
Just some notes tho:
1. Jovial Juggler over Forcalor is something I'd pick. Forcalor isn't a bad card, but you kinda lose a body on the field that Venus needs to shove back into her on-attack skill. Jovial is a much better pick since she can pass her skill to Breathing Dragon, which allows it to double dip on the cont skill it passes to the vanguard - meaning you can get a nice 10k boost to all your front row RGs before persona ride and before Venus' skill.
2. Steam Performer Toure, you definitely need Toure so you can cheat-in the old luquier into the soul. You can run 2-3 ish of Toure so it's nice to consider.
3. Bump up Showered Applause Dragon to maybe like - 3 instead of just 2. It's a nice consistency piece that will always let you recycle the order when it's put on the field from the soul.
4. Desire Devil Gouman is fun. Unlike with Bubetsu that can help with getting another attack in, Gouman keeps things simpler and way more effective in my opinion since it rips more hand out of your opponents rather than from having an extra attack that would be coming from your own hand.
Final thoughts on Venus:
The deck is great, overall a really good upgrade. You can definitely opt to drop the grade 3 that countercharges in favor of the new stuff. Luquier having vanguard pressure is also really great since it makes it so they can't just 2 to pass it with a single trigger 15k guard. The only mild thing that you need to be wary of is that Venus now will usually always have a front row rear guard at the end of the turn. This means you need to conserve your Rising Dragons and make sure to hide them in if you only have one. The flipside to this is that you can always double dip now with Breathing Dragon, so like in the video, I agree that running Irina has some merit now. In fact, there should be a new card that was revealed - Everil, which is basically a G1 that does what Irina does, but with power gain. So you can consider running that instead of Irina.
Fair enough. I'll prob never run either of the Desire Devils because as I explained I think in this profile, I don't mix archtypes by choice unless it's full mix (am I disagreeing with you that can run it, no I am not, I'm just saying why I wouldn't do it).
Applause I feel is fine at 2 because I draw him frequently enough but fair to run more. As for Toure, like I said, you already have enough cyclers, like the only real problem is just getting old Luquier out of deck, which isn't a problem but that's like the only thing you need.
As for the new grade 1, I would have ran her, and why I didn't is because she came out AFTER I recorded the profile, which I knew would happen but No, Bushi had to leave both Dark States units for last (I saw this because typically their not specfic support but specfic support always comes out roughly 2 days after, but because this needed to go up 2 days after I couldn't wait)
So no Desire Devil, Gouman? 😮😮

@@leonvk2000 And I'm not saying it doesn't. Just because someone doesn't run a card doesn't mean they think it's bad. I mean read the other comment, I agreed that it is good, just that I wouldn't run it.
A lot of people seem to have the idea just because a card isn't in a deck either means it's bad or the person doesn't know what they're doing. Isn't it possible for someone just to build a deck they want to for fun?
