First of all, what a lovely thing to do for someone whose loved one is in hospital. I hope Sally Jo's father fully recovers soon. Love the technique! The finish reminds me of sacred paintings by the Italian masters cracking from age and darkened by centuries worth of candle smoke and church incense.
Thank you Jonathon, you never cease to amaze me with your incredible talent. I rush home between my patients to watch your videos every week. It’s definitely very therapeutic ! Calming!! Relaxing , a stress relief! God bless what you bring to your devoted family 🙏❤️
I am so grateful I have found yours and Mr. He. channel. I haven’t once been disappointed. I’m more like stunned and utterly amazed at your non-fear approach, that I alway used in my own art works. You inspire me branch out and have fun with new ideas. It’s incredible!
What an awesome idea. I just love how the crackle is making the decoupage look like it has a wood grain. I can't help looking around at my current furniture and think, "hmm... who needs a crackle effect?"
This is amazingly beautiful and stunning, a real work of furniture art with tremendous craftsmanship and exquisite detail. You have a gifted eye for color, composition, and superb excecution of techniques. Your work is simply to die for and is a huge inspiration. I can't get enough of your amazing videos and am hooked. Thank you for sharing and brightening up the world we live in.
Love the format. Fun to hear you talk to somebody else and work through your ideas. Also so enjoyable to hear good friends work together. Thank you of course it’s lovely. Very lovely.
Absolutely gorgeous Jon. You always do phenomenal work sir. I see a lot of DIY on TH-cam but, your work thrills me sir. There is a kid I have watched on here doing short videos of a bunch of guilding. I love guilding. This decoupage paper thing is giving me ideas
That table is looking very good I know you are not finished with it yet . I will continue watching till the end. I am looking for a table similar to that it needs to be a little smaller. It is to go in my hallway under some shelves my dad built. Prayers 🙏 and Love 🤟 From Oklahoma
Hello Jonathan, how did you know I really wanted to see how to get crackle with decoupage? Your piece is absolutely STUNNING! So kind of you to have SollyJo staying in your beautiful period home, all the best for her father's recovery. I use glazes instead of wax, do you think I'd get roughly the same effect with a brown glaze? Love Xx ❤❤❤
Jonathon, you amaze me as always , I love love love your tutorials, sally jo I love all your products I just wish with all my heart we could still get them in Australia 😭😭😭 Sorry Jonathan, I don’t mean to embrace you , but if you watch the tutorial back you will notice something, to do with your shorts
Jonathan why are you so nervous? You are a real artist who cannot work under pressure. Quality is a lot more important than quantity. Everything you create is so beautiful. Thank you.
@@dianefontaine8918 oh thank you very much. That means a lot considering this one was filmed live and under a little bit of pressure. I think it did turn out okay? 😊😊
Jonathon, all of your projects affect me the same.....which is a very good thing in your case. I start out mesmerized with the materials and the concept of what you're going to be doing.....then you begin the change of the original thought, which is always when I make scary faces and talk to my PC.....with dire warnings to you (so glad you can't hear them). Then comes the wrap up as it all comes together and I join the choir in the final OOOOO and AHHHHHH . Just one more thing, I can't find the name of the crackling product that you used. I was quite impressed and if I can get it in the states would love to give it a go. Thanks
Thank you two, it looks incredible. Hope Solly's father is gonna be well soon. The materials of Solly's collection, are they available in Portugal? Greatings Marian Verft
Hi Jonathon, this is such a lovely project - fabulous result. I still have two of your early projects from over 7 years ago (Littlecoates Rd)! Do you sell any of your pieces, not that I can probably afford them these days! Love from an OG fan x
@@Plinkerbell hey there so lovely to hear from you. Yes I’m still selling my pieces locally and I do let them go for a really good price just because I have so many projects and I need to free space so that I can continue doing the video work if there’s anything you’ve seen that I’ve done recently don’t hesitate to give me a message. 😊😊
Beautiful artistry. Would you have the same crackle effect for the dark wax by just using the Crackle Enamel on top and not also on the underlayer. I do not know these products but it seems the Crackle enamel is a sealer of sorts?
Can I ask why you used Crackle underneath if you were using it again, ontop of all your decoupage.. so many products used. Was it purely to age it again, so you could use dark wax..? It looks fantastic. Love it.
Ooh my goodness 😮. I want to try this. But under description u have no links to the different products you’re using. Especially the tissue paper to decoposh

@@13Delna Oh, that’s difficult. I suppose it’s lots of filling and sanding to get the perfect finish, I’ll never understand these people that want manufacturing finish on an old piece of furniture 🥴
