I absolutely love it. The colors are good and I really like the blending in the background, but what catches my eye is the stand of the flower. The rich dark color of the stand and the highlights/reflection looks so good. It reminds me of a lot of oil paints of the greats. Just the overlapping of the colors on the stand and bottom ground looks good. It makes the flower pop and if you stare at it, it starts to stand out in a 3 dimensional way. I don’t think you have given yourself enough credit on this one. It’s in the high 80s (31c) here and super humid. In the south of the US it can get hot. The only advice is keep the bugs off, those bother me more than the temps. Just pick an overcast day maybe before a store so you can get that cool breeze.
Thanks for the kind words! The bugs really do make a difference, and unfortunately they hang around in the shade. But they're no match for a good repellant.
Enjoyed your video. UNDERSTAND re heat. I live in the US state of Florida. So not looking forward to summer. Re sketching in heat, wear Artic Cool (a brand of wicking shirts), have some wicking neck gaiters or other neck pieces that I keep damp. Use a spiral sketchbook on a shoulder strap, water bottle in a cross body holder, and light weight 4- legged stool that folds and has shoulder strap. Wear cargo shorts with all my gear, keys, phone, and wallet in pockets or attachedto a belt. Use waterbrush. Have small plastic pouch that clips to belt. In there, usually have a art Toolkit palette. Sometimes I bring multiple preppy fountain pens with water-soluble ink. Have a pen with waterproof ink. Have a very small holder with a handkerchief piece as well as a paper towel and a small scrap paper to check color. Wear a hat. Most important, look for a shady spot to sit in.

Well done for challenging yourself! A perk of buying an unfamiliar tool is that you have to learn how to use it!
It was definitely a real challenge!
good idea using only a fan brush, makes it a bit harder to paint. get one of those tiny portable fans, might help with the heat
You're the second person to mention that to me - I may need to look for a portable fan now!
Enjoyed your video.

That sounds like a lovely setup. Paring everything down to the smallest and lightest helps so much!
