I have a g45….it obviously has the gen 5 marksman barrel. I want to suppress…I’ve bought a cheap barrel, no names I won’t knock em for the price I paid but obviously the rifling is lacking the beauty of the rifling when looking through the bore. I’ve found a Glock factory threaded barrel (1/2x28 rh) which is kinda hard to find, but it states it’s for gen4. I know it’ll work from the reviews of purchases by gen 5 owners….bit what can I expect of the rifling vs the marksman? I need it no matter what but it’s $155 right now and I can buy a SilencerCo threaded barrel and wonder if that would be more “marksman” than the Glock factory one. I do prefer Glock factory over aftermarket just because. But yeah…my dilemma.
There are so many barrels out there, and pretty much all of them are standard rifled. Now, I have seen inexpensive barrels shoot as well as the high end ones. I would send it and see if it performs.
