Hey, great channel you have here, im learning a lot. I just retired from the fire department, and im discovering that photography is becoming my next passion. Im trying to find my niche in the photography world. I am leaning toward wildlife, sports, and street photography. After so many years of walking with death, i want to capture life.
I photograph boudoir exclusively and have been bringing in 100K/yr since I started back in 2020. I guess that would fall under portraits technically. I have been considering branching out into another genre as well like weddings but they seem rough haha
That last tip lol. I literally found this girl in Aspen a couple weeks ago, and she has such an enormous potential to be a top model. Absolutely gorgeous, think Demi Moore on her 20's but even prettier!! Mind blowing photoshoot on an amazing outdoor area near Aspen, CO, but she won't sign the model release so I can post it, afraid of hurting her real estate career... oh well. I'd love to do fashion/model photography, feel like I have what it takes, but finding the entry door into this niche has been challenging.
I Just discovered your content and I am finding it very valuable. I am an editorial and commercial photographer that is just finding my lane after shooting events and business photos for the last two years. I am in the process of nieching down to commercial clients and editorial work. I wish I had done this soon and filled my cup with one colour of Smarties instead of having a portfolio that is a little scattered. I am East of Toronto between Ottawa and Toronto.
@@stevecarty lol man I wish. Best I could do was doing restaurant photography when designing websites for local restaurants - they tend to be tight on budget though
@@poppingjaz you mean, the ones I’ve approached don’t have money but don’t think there isn’t money out there. If you aren’t reaching out to 100 potentials daily, you won’t work.
