First time I've ever seen an actual lawn care professional using a piece of battery OPE. Thanks for being on the cutting edge Paul! (see what I did there?) 😂
Loving that pole extension idea. Amazing they did not think of this long ago. You know back when I first started in this business I had a electric hedger. I thought everyone is going to think I am some kind of Rookie using that thing but I will say it was light compared to the gas one I purchased so I could look like a pro. Pretty soon everyone with gas hedgers will look outdated haha.
I bought the Stihl HTA-50 battery powered pole chain saw to prune up the Yaupon Holly that are always trying to take over my yard. It has been available overseas for years but was just released here in the states. It cuts great and the Yaupon are trembling in fear now instead of just laughing at me! My big gripe, however, is why in the world does Stihl have two different and not compatible battery systems? I got started with the consumer D handled hedge trimmer and have stayed in that system for a chainsaw and now a pole chain saw. The last thing I need are two different battery systems and chargers floating around my workshop. I can't even manage to remember which is which. Very puzzling for a brand that likes to brag about their engineering excellence. On a separate note, how do you clean your hedge trimmer blades? I have sprayed mine down with the Stihl rosin cleaner after I use them but I always have to take them apart 6 months later because they are gummed up.
I guess the battery difference is to keep a more affordable battery for the consumer product, I agree it would be better if they were interchangeable. I spray my trimmer blades with fluid film
Your boy TR, lol. That was funny out of all the places on earth I randomly ended up on the phone with him. And you go, oh shew bro he’s not gonna have a clue what we’re talking about 😂😂😂 you do the funniest plugs for them. SB….D….HT 🧐😂😂
We have most of Stihls battery pruner products. Absolutely love them!

my handheld hedge trimmer is a Kobalt 80V, the best I've used and well worth the money.
I’m sold on battery hedge trimmers… some of the other stuff might not be there quite yet

I've noticed the bigger battery works better in my extended hedge trimmer. Longer life and better balance for sure!
I’m satisfied with the run time on that battery but I think the additional weight may help the balance in certain situations
I just bought one today. Paid 1,083.00. I got the AP 300 battery
I have too pieces of battery equipment but for what I do , I don't use them much!

He told me when I bought that areator we’d have to learn together how to fix it cause he hadn’t ever worked on one
I want one of them 😍
Does it have variable speeds?
1st 👍😉
Price?
I think all in with charger and battery it was around $700
I was looking at this thing, but they want $500 for it without a battery! 😳
Yeah it’s spendy
