Try a cyclops taxi Stormlord. That should be a pretty funny thing to do
Years ago in a large point game..i want to say 5k points apiece. I sae a guy "tactical genius" a suicide storm lord packed with cyclops into a chaos marine mech infantry formation.
Fun fact. The cyclops can technically fire off their charge without disembarking if they are on the firing platform.
So he disembarked a couple of the demo vehicles immediately and used the storm sword as cover and drove point blank into the formation and then drove the cyclops demo vehicles into nearby enemies.
He kept driving straight into heart if the formation and eventually exploded gloriously dealing a ridiculous damage to their death star hollowing their assault
The only thing that makes me crazy with MG's armies is he says "These Catachans" but what he has are some old school Cadians and Mordians mixed. I have played WYSIWYG that i go coo-coo.

How are you attaching the lord solar and the platoon command squad to the same catachan unit?
Check the datasheet. Catachan and other battle line troops can take 2 leaders.

Personally, I LOVE the double superheavy build. I left my Octoblades unfinished on purpose, so I have some freedom to pick which build I bring on different days.
I have been really enjoying the Stormlord\Banesword combo. The Stormlord is there to suck up the infantry squad with 2 Enginseers when the enemy gets too close, and the other it there to blow shit up!
Honestly I think this list is going to throw people for a loop. Like how do you deal with two baneblades?
Superheavies can't move on sweaty competitive Terrain

I am building a crazy list as well to bring to 1 storm lord and 2 banehammer. All 3 carry 20 man squads of death corps and 3 Marshals to lead them. Dunno if my 3 chunky boys will fit in some boards, lol.

I ran something similar as a meme at a small local tournament and went 3-0. Except i ran 22 death riders

@ericmumper6821 nice! It was in Ohio and they didn't even use bcp but it was fun seeing the meme list still workout. I played against votann and space marines twice what did you run?
I want to run a cavalry/artillery list. Death riders, rough riders, medusa carriage and a manticore as the basis.

I ran 33, 2 armoured sentinels and a single mortar squad at 1500 points and it was brutal. everyone underestimates the lances until you charge and take down a predator

Har been thinking about putting heavy weapon squads in the chimeras for similar tactics, but the ogryns are a much better choice.
I just ran a list the other day with 2 super heavies, 3 scout sentinels, Straken blob, 2x Cadian blob, advisors, four field artillery. It was a Doomhammer, and a stormsword.

Although i have been painting miniatures for over 30 years I haven't played 40k since rogue trader (I still have a squad of the original imperial Army miniatures, before they were called guard) I have a really cool shop near me (4TK gaming) and I'm really looking forward to building an army and watching it get annihilated, I promise it will look real nice though

Alright those chimeras are pretty cool with the taxi. What about a doom hammer with 2 squads of ogryn in. Could be 1 squad of 6 and 1 of 3 as it has firing deck 12. So big melta 15 HBS 4 lascannons and 54 (I think) ogryn shots. Mmmm the dakka. Mmm the fake bus.

Nice to see I´m not the only one who kitbashes his custom Lord Solar. I went for an Achilles Ridgerunner with him standing on top of it like Rommel. My men don´t take orders from some fancy dude on a garish white horse
Any list where a Rogal Dorn is a small tank, is a good enough list for me.
Cyclops!!!! Take cyclops instead of scions. Go full armor.
In official tournament maps you literally can't move your banes.
I just ran an 11 lemus russ 2k tournament list it was a great games won 1, and lost 2 ! I was going to run a 4 baneblade list!
6 months later and i wanted to try this, but its 45 points over now :(

Loving this list. Shame that Lord Solar is the only way to order baneblades. Would love to see a pure tank list in the future, perhaps when Tank Commanders get a decent buff in the codex

I once had the privilege of getting shot by every gun on the shadow sword bane blade. And living. My 4 full health T10 7 wound kastelon robots and the t3 4 would tech priest. That on a full 47 mortal wounds, I lived on one wound. It was glorious!
If you are going to a tournament were you can move these beast around then you are lucky........buuuuuut most of the tournaments use terrain which doesnt even allow knights to go straigt betwenn terrain....they must do the zoidberg to pass throug....and this is a very shitty thing......................and no Arty?!?

Might just be the app but the baneblade and the variants don't have the "squadron" key word so is it only lord solar that can order them?
