This is such a good idea. Even for protecting the boards from any spillage that might occur
Tip: Use a miter / mitre box if you plan to cut 90° or 45° angles. Not expensive but quite helpful.

Large picture frame, remove the glass and then adhesive felt on the back of the picture frame. Portable game table boards
