- Hong Thong Temple is located at Song Khlong Subdistrict, Bang Pakong District, Chachoengsao Province. It was originally established here in 1967. "Luang Pu Pan Monastery" (abbot of Wat Kongkaram) first. Later, in 1979, requested permission from the Department of Religion to establish it as "Wat Hong Thong", which construction was completed in 1984 with Phra Achan Pho as the first abbot.
In 1991, Wat Hong Thong was located by the sea which faced the problem of sea water eroding the riverbank continuously. It has been eroded by the sea until only 8 rai of land remains (from the original area specified in the title deed of 21 rai 2 ngan), causing part of the buildings that were once located next to the sea. It has been eaten up by water until now it has become a building in the sea by default.
Wat Hong Thong is a royal temple under the Maha Nikaya group of monks. Located in Song Khlong Subdistrict, Bang Pakong District, Chachoengsao Province. The land on which the temple is located has an area of 21 rai 80 square wa.
Wat Hong Thong, or the locals call it Wat Klang Nam, was established on September 13, 1983. It received the Wisungkhamsima award on September 12, 1986. Wisungkhamsima district is 20 meters wide and 32 meters long. Within the temple, a mental development center was built. Sornil Anusorn Meditation Pavilion is built jutting into the sea. [1] A pagoda containing relics in the sea was built, called Phra That Kongkha Maha Chedi Preecha Prapakorn Prasorn Nil Anusorn which contains the first Arahant relics in the sea in the world Inside the pagoda The ground floor houses Luang Pho Sothon. The second floor houses a lifelike wax figure of Phra Mongkolthepmuni (Sod Chandasaro) of Wat Pak Nam Phasi Charoen. This floor also houses Phra Buddha Maha Mani Rattana Patimakorn or replica of the Emerald Buddha. The top floor is where the Arahant's relics are housed in a golden pagoda. Every floor has murals depicting stories, the history of Buddha, and paintings of kings from the past until the present reign. Including the royal family The temple has Luang Pu's cloister. At the top is a small golden pagoda.
