Been eating comfort in my soups and stews for yrs, raised five kids on it for more protein. We are all healthy. I dry it in dehydrator make it into a power and sprinkle it on sandwiches all kinds of food! My cow and farm animals love it!
Your video was great! Straight forward and simple. Thank you! I may have plugged my nose watching it, but it was well done and helpful. :) Thank you again!
Norfolk Allotments Thank you very much, kind sir, for making this very informative video. I am startled at the huge amount of the plants which you found growing wild. I know that Comfrey grows wild over here in the States, too, but have never seen one in the wild, but am now looking for them. I desire to make an observation, thus, I ask you to please not be offended, which is that in the future you would please use one of those little medical nose and mouth covers, when you are separating the juice from the rotted pulp, just in case there is any mold growing on the surface of the rotted mass or in the container. I do hope that the "mass" does not have time to grow mold, so that it is not a worry. Hope you do not mind the fyi suggestion. I love your garden and hope that it continues growing well for you, and that your Comfrey tea feeds your plants plentifully. The tea sounds like it should be more effective than the "chop and drop" method of making use of the Comfrey plant. What do you thing? God's blessings :-)
Have you tried it the lazy, no-stink way? If so, did you see a difference in your results? I just stuff it into a a spigoted container. As it breaks down, it releases liquid - no smell at all. I drain that liquid, dilute it with water and use it. Then I add the shrivelled leaves to the compost bin. It seems to me that I get good results, but I'd love to hear from someone who has done it both ways.
Just ordered compfrey root...will use next season as fertilizer...thanks for this informative video...oh, and I will get a supply of clothespins for my nose!
Comfrey is also known as (boneknit) It's a powerful healing herb as a compress. It helps speed up bone healing. I wouldn't ingest it or it's been said, "it can weld your intestines together".
For a moment there🤔when I heard comfrey tea I thought it was for drinking purposes🤣😃😄 hahaha' no i sure do understand it's a fertilizing liquid for our plants.
I have the same size drum, filled it to the top with water and used an old sack to put the comfrey in. I put a brick in the sack so the sack doesnt float, and now i wait. I have twice the water and twice the comfrey.
This is a fertliser to put on plants. It's called a "tea" because you use leaves to make it. Its NOT FOR DRINKING. It's for watering down and to put onto your plants as liquid food.
Hi John, The blues ones and the smaller white ones I get from my work. Yes, I do dilute the tea. I have a 2 gallon watering can and just cover the bottom of it, the rest is water to the top.

Gardening With Puppies
Where do you find comfrey seeds or plants. Everybody’s using it but don’t tell where to find it to grow it. Good video thx

Thanks Melody, I haven't tried it your way, but must give it a go.

Thanks Michelle, I'm glad you liked it.
I like the process how long can you store comfrey tea in bottles?

Awesome video, thanks for sharing.
wouldent it be better to put all the comfrey into a tied up pair of tights and then put it into the water with an air pump ?

Do you dilute that tea before you water your plants with it? If so, what proportions do you use?
Where did you get those great drums and bottles?
What do you do with the strained bits?
Wont that smell attract flies?
How long can I use this fertiliser until it's bad for veg
It’s like watching one of the chuckle brothers.
Just added subtitles to this video for anyone that needs them.
How To Make Comfrey Tea / Organic Fertilser
Do you use the tea neat or do you dilute it.
Where did you get those containers from,if it is local I live in norwich
Hi John,
The blues ones and the smaller white ones I get from my work. Yes, I do dilute the tea. I have a 2 gallon watering can and just cover the bottom of it, the rest is water to the top.
JUst made a How To Make Comfrey Tea Video. You can find it here - th-cam.com/video/HBDa4L75zYQ/w-d-xo.html
So, do you apply straight or dilute with water?
dilute with water.
how long will it be good in bottle?
I wouldn't keep it for more than one season.
So you have no clue, right?
This is the funniest comfrey tea making video on TH-cam. 8:51
I think you're working too hard. I came up with a filter bucket system. I can pull my dump bucket out and only have liquid gold in the bottom bucket.
add your tea with some molasses.
you spelled firtilizer rong
You spelled fertilizer and wrong wrong.
Not if you're English. Fertilizer is the American spelling, and in a past tense it should be Spelt, not spelled. Thanks for letting me know.
Can't tell if trolling or stupid. *Nobody* spells the words "firtilizer" or "rong".
