I purchased my topcase from an Italian distributor who shipped it to me in Canada. You can try reaching out to them. They were really good to work with. They might be able to help you out. They are "Omniaracing Special Parts" in Italy. Hopefully you can get your topcase fixed under warranty.
Hello, I recently bought the same case and I'm also having a small problem. I'm not sure if this is normal but since day one I need to put a significant amount of force to actually close the case. It does close, but only after like I said a significant amount of force. Am I doing something wrong or does the case need a good amount of force to actually close?
It sounds like the start of a lock set issue. The case should operate smoothly all the time. If it is not locking properly, I think you should look into a warranty lock set replacement with your Givi dealer.
Visually they are the same except the piece that goes in the lid has a very small difference in the outside two prongs. I suspect it's the plastic formulation because I noticed I had the problem when the temperature dropped to 16 to 18 degrees Celsius.
Only time will tell. I think the replacement parts should work out. I did notice a very slight difference in the replacement part that mounts in the topcase lid. I suspect the plastics used in the locking mechanism may have been the issue. Can't say for absolute sure on that last part. The new parts are working perfectly so far. Riding season is finished where I live so will see how it goes next Spring.

Tengo el mismo problema. ¿Para reclamar la garantía exigen un vídeo del mal funcionamiento? Me he cansado de hacer tantísima fuerza y he desmontado la parte superior del mecanismo y eliminado un muelle. Ahora cierra directamente sin ese freno "premium" desde el que si todo funcionara bien se cerraría con una leve presión. Gracias.

Perhaps let them know you are not satisfied with the solution and the case is still not closing to your liking. They might send out the top part to make it right.

I went through the Givi dealer I ordered the toolbox though. Try going through your local Givi dealer. They should be able to help you out.

I think Givi should be able to get your topcase taken care of under warranty. Hope it all works out.
