I hope you liked my video. I delayed the flight for this video by more than a year due to the fire damage caused by arson on the coast, it was supposed to be Video 18. Apparently a very long time ago, Parkgate was a main shipping port, long before Birkenhead and the Liverpool docks. There is a video uploaded about a year ago on the youtube channel “ The Wirral Channel” with more information about parkgate.
From what I remember, arson was suspected as the cause. The first launch location I was at there was a concrete wall with quite fresh fire remains there, the wooden bench I put my camera rucksack on , the top was half burned. There are some expensive houses just behind, so maybe Teenage toffs were to blame as it a bit out of the way for the usual scummy hooligans. This location was mention in an old black and white Jack Hawkins film, the Long Arm , which is about a safe cracker. Jack also went to an area in Snowdon near Capel Curig, to find a Garage. 👍
Great views. Love the colours. So atmospheric. Great work my friend
Thank you. I’m glad you liked the video. I had Been planning on visiting there for a while.
Never knew the estuary does not really exist? over at the Wirral! very interesting, maybe in 200/300 years it will solidify?
