Hi guys! I have both. They have the same vibe, but to my nose they are not particullary similar. Pardon has a prominent oud note which make it harder to wear. So in my opinion lidge are more versatile than Pardon. They are both great scents! I have both old and new lidge. When comparing side by side, the differences are minor. Thanks for great reviews!
You're right about the oud, when I say "more versatile" I mean Pardon has more occasions where I could see it specializing (date, formal) LIDGE doesn't really have any imo. Thanks man!
Quality dude, i have a sample of pardon but I don’t like it enough to get a FB, LIDGE has been one of my most used frags over the last 6 or 7 years since I found out about it in the early days of fragcomm, i have 2 bottles of vintage left and use it on special occasions or for a treat if im just chilling out at home.
Great comparison points. But to be honest I don't see much similarities on the scent of these two. I own the same version of LIDGE as you and agree that Pardon is more wearable which is a bit strange since it is heavier. Thanks, man!
Pardon was my SOTD and got one compliment from my aunt 😂 own them and love both! But like you said, Pardon is more complex and has - naturally - more high quality ingredients. They are in the same family of dark, rich, cacao/dark chocolate scent, but they are fairly different. For me also, Pardon wins comparing with LIDGE (new formulation, never tried the old one).
Comparing Pardon to the latest formulation on LIDGE EDT in the long bottle. There is no comparison apart from they share a chocolate note. Pardon is a far more complex and higher quality scent. LIDGE smells like Play-Doh to me and I sold my bottle.
I just got the l'instant eau de Parfum. The one in the new bottle that looks like the habit Rouge bottle. Is there any difference between your formulation and mine?
Derek Borow No. The new slimmer bottles have the same juice as the clear rim bottle shown in this video dude. Difference between these versions and the vintage black rim version is a slightly fresher opening, slightly less dense cocoa and slightly less performance (although still great!).
I agree. LIDGE garners more compliments from men, even more so from gay men. But after 4-5 hrs, when u go down to the nitty gritty and she smells LIDGE that's wafting a lot from all that sweat, it is the best thing to wear on that spot, on that time. 2nd to Tom ford Noir EDP. These are my most garnered compliments in between the sheets.

I both they really close 98% but pardon la juste smoother and smell the flower in it

I had the old version of LIDGE and I now have the new. To me they are 100% the same.
tbh I don't find them all too similar. pardon is simply more luxurious and has an overall better quality and smell imo
I would get LIDGE, cause its an actually original fragrance that doesnt copy anything.

Is that Lidge discontinued? Can't find it in a fair price. I almost run out my bottle!
