    Verry happy with the Nomad David Levesque and his team did a great job at building mine. Was ready way before its delivery time. So pick it up my self at the factory and hauled it all the way home in Gracefield Qc. Been living in it full time now for 6 weeks. Very comfortable and has the cosy home feeling. Heating and ventilation system is tops. We had -20c. Temperature always stayed dry inside and 0 fog in the windows. Thanks Minimalist for putting this nice product together for me. 👍👍

    Brilliant addition for those who are looking for a mobile friendly trailer home, you can live in full time "off-grid". BTW - can this unit be modified to include a wood burning stove?? That would be the cherry on top! lol

    I listen to a couple podcasts about self-hosting, and it'd be cool if your solar management system could interface with Home Assistant. That way, you could control a lot of aspects of the house (in general), but especially tell it to do things like briefly cutting power to the A/C or heat while the microwave runs. Or, if the battery's at a certain level, to prioritize the grid while the battery charges. It could even take the weather into account. There's a vibrant community of people who use Home Assistant in their tiny homes/RVs to manage power consumption, heating & cooling, lighting, etc. The possibilities are endless!

    It's very well designed and significantly more attractive than many (most) travel trailers.

    To me this is almost perfect! It's very well designed. Love how compact, practical and beautiful it is ♥️. If I were the one to purchase it, I'd like to change a few things: 1️⃣ extend the roof to cover the entire deck so that the deck can be used as patio in all weather. Hopefully there will be removable mosquito mesh for the entire deck. 2️⃣ change the bedroom so that it is a living room/ office at day time and a bedroom at night. The double bed can be converted to a sofa. The sliding barn door will have a TV mount (hopefully strong enough for a 43" led tv), and there will be a tv plug above the door rail. There will be two long narrow folding tables attached to left and right side walls below the windows for laptop or eating (so that each person can have his/her own desk area). They can be folded down to give room to the bed at night. There will be some hooks to tie movable chairs during transport. 3️⃣The current dinette/bed will be converted to closets as an option. 4️⃣ All cabinets have no space left below the roof so there wont be dusk that is hard to clean. All top racks changed to cabinets as an option. 5️⃣A folding bench will be put in between the door and sink. Shoes and boots can be placed underneath. It can be folded down to give room for cot. 6️⃣There will be some hooks to tie movable furniture such as folding chairs and tables for the deck. 7️⃣ Some strong hooks placed vertically next to door frame for backpacks.

    Absolutely love this design and features, including ability to be mostly off grid for long periods of time. The only downside is the dinette table is a wobbly design. IMHO, a Lagun table would work a lot better (more solid, manouverable into different positions, etc)

    If the washer dryer combo unit is a heatpump and not a condensing unit you could probably lower the impact on the solar by a lot! And no ducting! Just a drain line for the water.

    Can we install a tesla Powerwall? It would be neat to have a dedicated space for that.
    And with electric trucks we could have the advantage of bidirectional charging and have more power for the unit if we want.

    This mindset of tiny houses seems to be catching on. A new trend is the "minimalist lifestyle." Living by bare bones. A way to not only cut many expenses but also to save money which will grow wealth. But is this good for you? As I told my own subscribers, I contend that instead of having an existence of "minimalism," living in a shack and a sleeping bag, you should adopt the mindset instead. In other words, you don't have to deprive yourself and suffer to have the minimalist mindset which will give you money to invest. The minimalist mindset person will buy only what he needs. He won't go in the winter without a coat but will by the cheapest one that does the job--not the designer label. He won't buy a 50K car when he makes 80K a year. He'll buy the 15K Honda Civic used one and save money on a lesser car payment, insurance and gas. He doesn't go to TGI Friday's every week--he goes once a month and grills at home the other three weeks. He brings his coffee from home and doesn't spend 4 bucks twice a day at Starbucks down the street from his office. See the point? You don't have to live like a monk. The minimalist mindset just cuts down on the unnecessary. If you do this you will find that not only do financial problems disappear but you will grow a ton of assets on the side. Hope this helps someone out there---Charles

    • @kellyb1420
      @kellyb1420 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah I’ve heard RV dealerships recommend to empty tanks while traveling. Because if you have to turn or hit the breaks. Or hit the breaks suddenly? Because the water moving around and swishing back in forth in the tanks becomes dangerous and can flip your tiny house or RV?
      So yeah? I’ve never driven an RV but it makes sense? 😁

    Great travel trailer! Opens lot of possibilities. One we would like is a fold-away table top in two or more locations around the (converted from dinette) lounge area. We would most likely keep the lounge in place and rarely convert back to a dinette. However we still need flat surfaces for eating and working.
    Other items: Larger TV mounted in a lower location so it is more eye-level and not a "looking up" level. (You mentioned a certain type of TV that withstands the rigors of road vibration. Can that be an OLED model, say 55-inchs?) Solar Panel "trays" that slide out to provide a bigger solar array and shelter from the sun.
    Last but not least, we want to use this during 6 winter months, in southern Baja where the winds can be ferocious and the sun, very intense, especially if we leave it parked over the summer months. Can your steel siding withstand these elements? is this rated for Hurricane winds?
