It’s so nice to hear women, despite the brutality of it, talk so openly about their experiences of grooming/abuse in subcultures, and still stick in the subculture and call em out. I had similar shit happen to me when i was really young & it scared the shit outta me. Ive looked up to you since i was 15, grace, and you’re still the genuine gal who inspired me into tattooing! I was told I had to have 10 diagnosed cases of Tonsillitis before they'd take my tonsils out, I got to 7 times last year and they still won't take them out! Instead I'm given 80 anti biotic tablets each time, surely that costs them more?!

Fucking love you two, I was literally thinking an hour before watching this about an experience I had being manipulated using toxic spirituality by people when I was younger. It’s such an important thing to bring attention to.
I highly recommend the show “3 Body Problem” it was so good!! Would love your guys’ thoughts on it too.
Questions:
- Grace, if this is too personal totally disregard - but I was wondering what your inner monologue sounds like when processing physical pain. What goes on in your head to self soothe, self talk, and connect while experiencing tattoo/body mod pain. I’m pretty tattooed at this point but I DO NOT like getting tattooed, it’s a hard mind game for me personally. (I used to struggle with self harm and enjoyed the pain, now that I’m healing I don’t want to experience anymore pain, but I deeply love being tattooed. It’s a mind fuck a bit.)
- I love the chat about creating fringe communities in the beginning, I’m a fellow ACAB gal myself and think the police as a whole is corrupt and broken. When imaging these fringe communities, like you said we of course want everyone to feel safe physically/emotionally etc. I wonder if you guys have pondered any ideas about maintaining community safety without policing. I deeply believe that the police isn’t working, but I don’t have the answers for a different solution. Ideas!!?
