Really I don't understand why people are hating on this game. I personally think it's a wonderful game. I've never been this hooked up by a game in Years! I just want people to see how wonderful this game can be if they give it a chance!

It's gotten a lot of praise for an AC game, even more than origins which I think it doesn't deserve. It can certainly be wonderful at times, but it's ruined as soon as you pick a fight with the 8394 mercenaries that have been tracking you around, or when you find another boring npc with a boring quest, or when you play the story which is pretty bad to me. I really enjoyed just going around doing basically nothing but 80% of the time I was fighting (and the combat is meh) or looting caves
I honestly didn’t want to buy this game even though I love ancient times it didn’t seem like an AC game to me. But I bought it on sale and I just don’t think of it as an AC game just an Ancient Greece game and I agree the story is amazing and I’m hooked didn’t think I would like this game this much
When I purchased this game, my friends told me that this is just a DLC upgrade to Origins! It sucks and it was a waste. Those little shits have no idea!! The ambiance, the missions, the maps, the choices, the emotions!! And so much more. This is a completely different experience. It took me 465 hours to play and finish the Odyssey and all the DLCs. It may sound like a long time to you guys, but let me tell you, I went to every Island, explored every question mark on the map in the Greek world, Elysium, Underworld & Atlantis. So, if you have not played this game and are just being a master of nothing, you will be disappointed to know that you have missed an amazing chance to explore the beautiful, terrifying, exciting, and ever-expanding world of AC Odyssey.
I always tell my subscribers to look at a game as an experience and not just for fun. Try this video game friends. You will not be disappointed.
Hi mate :) I couldn't agree more with your comment.I am like you, I like the music in this game ,story , all emotions , choices, characters ( not just Kassandra and Alexios , I like Phoebie , Barnabas, Markos ofcourse, I like and hate in the same time Nicolaos , I like wisdom from Herodotos, boringness from smartass philosopher - I don't remember his name, and more characters which are connected to me but not so famouse ,doing smallest stupid objectives for them like collecting herbs, woods get them vine, olive oil and so on so on makes me happy ,I prefer to not lie but sometimes its hard in this game to decide the answer ,this game is masterpiece its not just a game its understanding the life.. when I need to help Phoebe about her friends in village cause its plague I always help but I know the consequences and I make choice always the same. I like to think and understand every dialog and make the right choice, I don't just skip dialogs like that even I know that that will cost me the time I have to play cuz I need to work :DD... some gammer's wants to kill ,to have sex in game to do funny things ,just to stream it ,to compare to other ac games and give good bad comments but it was their choice :) Only real gammer's with heart (and real men/women) play this game as they should. Of all the Assassin's Creed games, Alexios is my FAVORITE character...he's noble, humorous, honorable, badass, and a guy you'd want on your side. Definitely an amazing addition to the Assassin's Creed Storyline.

Being from Italy playing this game was such an emotional experience for me. Even though I am not Greek my culture has adopted so much from Greeks and etruscans we are Mediterranean’s, close relatives. The beautiful south of Italy Magna Grecia ❤️ Even playing origins, my paternal grandfather and grandmother were both born in Egypt being native Italians, many Italian in Alexandria Egypt during those times . Some of the greatest empires in human history in my opinion. These games are so under appreciated, they are truly a work of cultural art. I would always keep odyssey open even while I wasn’t playing, just to hear the sounds of nature and the music playing in the background, it reminded me so much of home. Man this game, it was one of the best gaming experiences i've ever had. The music, the story, the surroundings, everything about this game was just straight up perfect Taming the high egeian waves or taking on a huge army I am Armenian and who would have thought i'll find myself in the middle of a real full scale war exactly year after I played this masterpiece I got the best ending, played as Kassandra, and you know what I've only got less than 2 months before I finish my millitary service, and after thats done Im gonna jump into this game once more!

I just got back from Greece, and I definitely recommend going. Heads up though, go to archeological sites early in the morning (they fill up quickly), and avoid driving unless you have driven in Europe before. Road laws are more like suggestions over there, so it can be very stressful for someone who isn't used to it.
This pleases my half greek side. Need to go there again, visit my family and all. But have to admit, it's often pretty dirty even tho they start cleaning the place up, also the roads are kinda dangerous. But still i love it there.

Odyssey has one of the most amazing, emotional, interesting, and dramatic storyline and soundtrack, both of them worthy of the first AC games, seemingly unlimited, interesting side quests, and hyper-realistic graphics of almost any game I’ve played, so why do people hate on it for not having hidden blades?
Just completed odyssey and i already know this game will always have a special place in my heart. I love the story so much and even though I got a tragic ending, it is such a fitting classical greek tragedian.
This game is my favorite ever. I'm so grateful it exist. The story is compelling, the gameplay is fun, I love all the places you can visit ! It's also very educational, taught me a lot about history and mythology ! It's so immersive. And I really love the discovery tour, it shows how much effort and accuracy they put into this game, working hand in hand with professors and specialists on the subject. And of course... the music is wonderful ! It's great to see how people lived at this time, with the game you are, in a sense, living it. I'm sure a lot of people passionate about Ancient Greece would love to play it ! I'm also deeply attached to the characters, they have a really interesting arc and story. Thanks to this game, visiting Greece is one of my main goals now.
Being Greek and being able to play a game that threw you head first into the classical age of your country was an amazing experience, this game is truly a gem despite what the majority may say.
@@yakuzamane1541 actually alexios is the byzantine version of the original name Alexandros which is much bigger.It is just shortened out.The original one has a meaning that the byzantine one doesnt.Alexandros or(Αλέξανδρος)comes from alex(άλεξ)=protector +andros(άνδρας)=man which means the protector of men.And I guess you understand why phillip chose that name for alexander the great(Μέγα Αλέξανδρος).He was considerate for his men .

I love AC Odyssey. the storyline, the characters, the ambient music, the world, the people, the culture, and esp the MALAKAS. AC Odyssey was hands down the best AC game in my opinion. ( Relatively the same as ACII ). Just sad that most people bitch and complain about it not being like "the older AC games." I beat the game twice and i put in 400h+ on it and i still love it.

I mean, it changed a lot from the originals. Now it's a full blown RPG game, you have the power of the gods, there's no vault button, and there's a huge world.
I'm not too familiar with the AC franchise but I truly loved this game. The music, the settings, and the characters - they were all immersive and believable. Alkibiades and Brasidas are still my hardcore favourites, followed by Barnabas and Socrates. No matter the opinions of any fans, any game takes work and a lot of time, from storyboarding to market penetration. Kudos to the team who worked on this!
Even after a month of playing this game, hearing this music, the Myrrine theme, I just want to jump right back into it! I instantly became sentimental over it!
after over 640 hours of gameplay, i’m here. i can’t even begin to explain the way this game made me feel. i began playing at the beginning of 2020. i was a little late on playing, but man did i ever become hooked. i do agree with most, it’s absolutely nothing like other assassins creed games, but it sure was one hell of a good game. the music has always been something i appreciated so much. definitely super catchy.
I feel like so many people didn't give this one a shot because of how different it is. Odyssey may be my favorite main line entry for the fluidity of gameplay, overall polish and quality story content (when not Layla idgaf about modern stuff)

This is not the best game you've ever played or will not be. But the experience it gives is unmatchable. Its story, gameplay and style is over average. But what this game makes a perfect experience is the ambiance it has. The music and the world they create is like matching perfectly. And the feeling at the end of the game is like "pheew, that was a great adventure.". I wish I could erase my memory and experience it again like the first time.
I loved the Origins as well, when I hear its music it still gives the goosebumps. But it lacked a little bit of gameplay and its combat mechanics were not as good as Odyssey.

Always been drawn to Greece and Greek mythology, and I really don't know why. I was fortunate enough to be able to visit Rhodes and Corfu during my time in the U.S. Navy way back in 1993. I've played through this game twice and listened to the entire soundtrack countless times. This entire world just speaks to me in a way few others do.
It's weird. I've never liked an AC game. Not because they were bad; they were far from that; all of them were good, even great. they just weren't my cup of tea; they couldn't touch my soul in a raw form. But Odyssey holds such a special place in my heart, that not even my favorite series can remove it from its special pedestal in my heart. Odyssey will never be replaced, or duplicated.

I’m actively playing this game as we speak and I have been playing it since March 2022 (it’s now June 2022). *I love it! It’s not really an Assassin‘s Creed game because it penalizes stealth but other than that, it’s a fantastic adventure!* 😊🙌🤩

beeing half greek albanian myself i played this game to bits i adore it having spent over 450 hours in the game i can say with clear judgement i like it more than valhala i played valhala as well but it fails to capture the magic odyssey delivers what i like most about odyssey is that it knows what kinda game it is and it makes the most of it valhala tried to sell us the idea of the ultimate viking/assasin experience and it failed misserably and people noticed that so they are coming back to odyssey and that makes me really happy

Odyssey has one of the most amazing, emotional, interesting, and dramatic storyline and soundtrack, both of them worthy of the first AC games, seemingly unlimited, interesting side quests, and hyper-realistic graphics of almost any game I’ve played, so why do people hate on it for not having hidden blades?
Just completed odyssey and i already know this game will always have a special place in my heart. I love the story so much and even though I got a tragic ending, it is such a fitting classical greek tragedian.

This game is my favorite ever. I'm so grateful it exist. The story is compelling, the gameplay is fun, I love all the places you can visit ! It's also very educational, taught me a lot about history and mythology ! It's so immersive. And I really love the discovery tour, it shows how much effort and accuracy they put into this game, working hand in hand with professors and specialists on the subject. And of course... the music is wonderful ! It's great to see how people lived at this time, with the game you are, in a sense, living it. I'm sure a lot of people passionate about Ancient Greece would love to play it ! I'm also deeply attached to the characters, they have a really interesting arc and story. Thanks to this game, visiting Greece is one of my main goals now.

@@yakuzamane1541 actually alexios is the byzantine version of the original name Alexandros which is much bigger.It is just shortened out.The original one has a meaning that the byzantine one doesnt.Alexandros or(Αλέξανδρος)comes from alex(άλεξ)=protector +andros(άνδρας)=man which means the protector of men.And I guess you understand why phillip chose that name for alexander the great(Μέγα Αλέξανδρος).He was considerate for his men .

This is one of my favourite games of all time. The story, the characters, the music, the quests were all really well executed and cumulated in a beautiful game that I've spent 400+ hours with.
I wish it would never end and replay it over and over again.

I agree with you! I was skeptical of the game at first but I saw it on Steam discounted 80% so i got it for $18. I love AC Odyssey. the storyline, the characters, the ambient music, the world, the people, the culture, and esp the MALAKAS. AC Odyssey was hands down the best AC game in my opinion. ( Relatively the same as ACII ). Just sad that most people bitch and complain about it not being like "the older AC games." I beat the game twice and i put in 400h+ on it and i still love it.

I'm not too familiar with the AC franchise but I truly loved this game. The music, the settings, and the characters - they were all immersive and believable. Alkibiades and Brasidas are still my hardcore favourites, followed by Barnabas and Socrates. No matter the opinions of any fans, any game takes work and a lot of time, from storyboarding to market penetration. Kudos to the team who worked on this!

after over 640 hours of gameplay, i’m here. i can’t even begin to explain the way this game made me feel. i began playing at the beginning of 2020. i was a little late on playing, but man did i ever become hooked. i do agree with most, it’s absolutely nothing like other assassins creed games, but it sure was one hell of a good game. the music has always been something i appreciated so much. definitely super catchy.

Just realized that the loading bar now divides into section by song and names them. Pretty cool feature.
This is not the best game you've ever played or will not be. But the experience it gives is unmatchable. Its story, gameplay and style is over average. But what this game makes a perfect experience is the ambiance it has. The music and the world they create is like matching perfectly. And the feeling at the end of the game is like "pheew, that was a great adventure.".
I wish I could erase my memory and experience it again like the first time.
I loved the Origins as well, when I hear its music it still gives the goosebumps. But it lacked a little bit of gameplay and its combat mechanics were not as good as Odyssey.

The Gods, Spartans, Anthenians, Persians, Isu, Underworld, combat, battlefield, mercenary, art, music, ancient greeks, the story.....etc, I can admire this beauty all day.
Always been drawn to Greece and Greek mythology, and I really don't know why. I was fortunate enough to be able to visit Rhodes and Corfu during my time in the U.S. Navy way back in 1993. I've played through this game twice and listened to the entire soundtrack countless times. This entire world just speaks to me in a way few others do.
It's weird. I've never liked an AC game. Not because they were bad; they were far from that; all of them were good, even great. they just weren't my cup of tea; they couldn't touch my soul in a raw form.
But Odyssey holds such a special place in my heart, that not even my favorite series can remove it from its special pedestal in my heart. Odyssey will never be replaced, or duplicated.

beeing half greek albanian myself i played this game to bits i adore it having spent over 450 hours in the game i can say with clear judgement i like it more than valhala i played valhala as well but it fails to capture the magic odyssey delivers what i like most about odyssey is that it knows what kinda game it is and it makes the most of it valhala tried to sell us the idea of the ultimate viking/assasin experience and it failed misserably and people noticed that so they are coming back to odyssey and that makes me really happy
