as a fighting game fan, over the last couple days i've gone from not knowing this game exists to hyped for its release. your channel played a big part in that, so keep up the good work.
How do you feel about it now? I bought it but I've NEVER played a fighting game before and the learning curve is the steepest I've ever had for any video game I've ever played. I really like it but I guess I'm not qualified to really say.
i've played a lot of fighting games, and this is a solid one. i've never been a big fan of marvel / team based fighters, so this is something i've wanted since trying skullgirls - a single character fighter on that same engine. it owns. fighters always have an insane learning curve, but they're worth it as long as you don't get too frustrated learning via getting beat up a lot. i've always been into 2d ones, but i put about a year straight into trying to learn tekken 7 over 2017... and i'm still awful at it. but to me, fighters are less frustrating than team games like dota or overwatch. when you get destroyed in a fighter, it's as simple as asking yourself what does the opponent know that you don't? then you practice. a lot. to someone who is totally new to the genre, my advice would be to play around with all the characters with an open mind, but as soon as one character feels like they click and you enjoy using their moves, then try your best to learn the game from their perspective. if you're gonna play zany alpaca, you don't need to know everything about angsty unicorn. you just need to know what her game plan is against your own.
i've wanted this game since i heard about its remake from fighting is magic and when i finally got it (yesterday) i was greeted with this smooooth song GOD DAMN
Not a remake, its own original game. Of course elements carry over, having been made by the same people as the fan game and this time with help from Lauren Faust, but no ponies here! Aside from Oleander. Who signed a pact with a Demon named Fred.
@@imkuelllgremlin Nope. They used a free engine, same one MUGEN was built on, for Fighting is Magic. It was extremely limited, and they struggled to get most things working. This one, the Skull Girls devs actually gave them their own engine to use, giving the devs much more freedom. And Hand-drawn animation!
These guys did a great cover you might like (and all their VGM covers are great, especially Undertale Ruins which I love): th-cam.com/video/9vVT9I_aQPg/w-d-xo.html
@@azurda7483 I don't think any specific options should be removed, but it should be better organized. Either a few more folders, or put related options next to each other. I.E. in the Pixel lobby, "voice volume" and "voice channel" shouldn't be 3 spots apart. And it'd be better if the communication options just had their own menu separate from lobby options.
I'm hoping that the first 'title theme' will be used at a panel where there is only the title, and then you click and switch to this song. Idk if that would be true or not I don't have the beta
IMO the trailer music would be much better for the title screen. This is fine for menus, but the trailer music is more exciting. When I boot up the game to play with friends, I want the title screen to be exciting!
no es asi. Se que te refieres a boxing league pero este ost salio en 2018 un año antes de que boxing league saliera y en 2019 estaba en fase de pruebas y su salida fue por el 2020-2021 así que este tema fue usado después de la creación de boxing league
dani 5612 My best hint would be check Skullgirls' System Requirements. Then those from some simpler 3D games from recently. It's not too likely it'll stray too far from SG's, since all it adds mechanically are 3D backgrounds and the real-time music changes.
So I just picked up the game, decided on maining Olen and Arizona and love how it looks, the mechanics, and the voice acting. But does this make me a Brony? Or whatever it means to be a big MLP fan? Because I’m not.... I barely know anything about it. I’m confused. Tbh.....
This is not a My Little Pony game; it's its own thing, it just shares a similar art-style and feel due to it having the same character designer/writer helping with the game (Lauren Faust). She decided to support the project after they got a C&D on the prototype, which *was* a fan-game, so, no.
hey guys, peter griffin here to explain the joke. the joke is that the tfh music is the same as the boxing league (a roblox game) lobby music. boxing league pretty much obviously came after tfh, but latisha the fox (the commenter) sarcastically claimed that the music here is taken from boxing league. peter signing out.
This game is honestly underrated and needs way more attention
2020 said: “Hey welcome to Evo, bud.”
Well, it is getting it now.
Constantly calling it the "MLP" fighting game gets a little grating, but hey! People are aware we exist!
YESSIR
This aged well
Agreed
Them's Funkin' Herds!
( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)
Hey don’t swea- oh it said “Funkin”... now I feel embarrassed.
Looking forward to the game when it’s on Switch.
oh my god
Don’t give the Friday Night Funkin’ modding community ideas.
Please remember that Stuart, the music designer for M6, is a god, and this track is your proof.

Woooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Now that's a neat menu theme!
God this whole soundtrack is just so good but this theme ALWAYS gets me in the mood for battle.
You know I dont even play games, and I can't really (I dont have the platform, nor the interest) but this game's music, arts and design is EVERYTHING
It's like a very cool cartoon.
Gray Yeah! Minus a story so far.. though if this is develop again as a series it’d be FiM, minus the friends?
@@Freezient It's got a Story Mode now, but only Chapter 1 is available.
Super chill, very nice job
That beat going in hard this now my new favorite game soundtrack.
Gives off a Lethal Leauge vibe.
I'm feelin' it now.
mr krabs :>

Alfamaxis AYYYYYY LMAO
@@stitchy329 Bloody hell, didn't expect to see ya here. What are the odds of this happening, holy crap!?
Alfamaxis idk, but it’s great to see you here!
I'm loving this one but a part of me will miss the old one :/
It will probably be used for something else, or will be available somehow...
The old theme has been used in trailers, so it'll be somewhere.
Probably will be the actual title theme.
It is
Its the main theme of the game.
This is just the swanky menu version.
Smooth. I like it.
One hour into my stream and I’ll still be jamming to this music xD
The best lobby soundtrack when you are gonna fighting with epic animals.
this ost is so GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD !!

Same character designer, but not MLP!
The music....i-it's too damn catchy!!! AAHH

This is actually amazing, dear Doge
I come back to this repeatedly, I love the soundtrack. This one in particular as well ^-^

Someone needs to make a mod with the mlp reviewers as characters
I love this song, for some reason it reminds me of boxing, but in a cartoony way, which is appropiate to the subject.
Such a clean menu
Eh, the menu could use a little cleaning up, could look a little nicer, but it does its job.

Do you also happen to have the individual character themes? I've only seen RC88 upload Velvet's.
