I never tried any Sol de Janeiro products before but I bit the bullet and blind bought the body mist and body butter in the smaller sizes because I love violet and powdery purple florals. It is more sweet than I anticipated but I really like it. Does last a good few hours. The body butter is so good, really moisturises the skin and doesn't attract spiders (much to my disappointment cos I love spiders haha).
I just picked this one up a few days ago and I think “sophisticated” is the perfect word to describe it. As soon as I tried it in Sephora I knew it was a winner. It also started reminding me of Idôle Now, which I absolutely love. So then of course I had to try the two layered. On me, Idôle Now has a slight bite to it (besides the warm, powdery floral). When I layered 59 over it, the bite was really softened to the point where I couldn’t even smell it anymore. 59 basically mellows out Idôle Now. Not that it needs it, but that slight softening to me is just perfection. I’m glad I came back to watch this again because for some reason I was thinking 59 was limited edition. I’m glad to know I don’t need to rush to buy a big refill before it’s gone forever. Thanks, Soki!! 💜
I layer 68 with burrbey her EDP and cloud. I layer 62 with Elie Saab girl of now and Versace bright crystal absolu. I layer 40 with bright crystal and I layer after hours with flower bomb. Couldn’t stand 71, gave it away. I want to get this new 59 as well
I think it's ok, it might grow on me. While I was at my Sephora I was able to sample it, but ended up picking up a small '68 travel set. Women were swarming around '59 and just grabbing full size bottles. Seems like it's flying off the shelf.

To me it’s a little head ache inducing 😅 I wanted to like it but it’s very reminiscent of a vanilla birthday cake batter or like a powdery vanilla protein powder or something like that lol. I really wish they could make a fresh floral fragrance. Or something light and airy like 68 which I love.
I like it but I'm finding it more subtle than ths others. I like the original and tropical nights best. The limited edition Anita one was so good too! X

It's actually a beautiful glass bottle, with a gold disco ball cap, and has an incredible fragrance that lasts and takes you away to a warm beach somewhere. 🏝They don't seem to have the edp in any other number, so I do believe the 62 is the most popular. I also have the 71 in the body mist which is like a popcorn caramel desert. Thankyou for showing us the 59. ☺️🌺

I like it.. to me it smells like a soft, creamy , powdery, vanilla with some fake smelling lily and jasmine.

I got the 71, sadly it's bit too much for me, now thinking about getting the 62 or this one 59. Bit confused between the twos.
71 is really heavy and cloying for me, 62 is lighter but not sickly sweet x 62 is caramelly pistachio, it’s definitely cosy and rich x
