    "Restrict my freedom," say what boy? Because this ISN'T a man...men take responsibility...not whining about their freedom when they have a wife and child on the way! Give him his freedom back (all the way back), and get out.

      Indeed, dumba** is making excuses to run away and act like a frat boy. A lot of red flags there, he's showing that he intends on being useless as a husband and as a father. If they break up he can't use the excuse that she needs him as he's useless. He talks about keeping his commitments towards his fellow alcoholic frat bros while ignoring his commitments towards his wife and child.

    Oh hell, another story telling people that alcoholism is something that you can be scolded out of. Dad gets mad at you and suddenly you become a good husband and father. Alcoholism is a lifelong DISEASE. Even with treatment the person is never cured, will have to fight the addiction to the end of their days.

    • @nancythane5672
      @nancythane5672 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Cure the root cause(s) of the alcoholism and you end it. You're still sensitive to stressors, but that doesn't mean you remain an addict. That means you need to be open to your loved ones and have access to a therapist when needed.

    • @lindasavelle1731
      @lindasavelle1731 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nancythane5672 I'm sorry, I have to disagree. An Alcoholic will always be an alcoholic . He or she may not drink but the danger is always there. The founder of AA, which is the most famous of the organizations trying to keep people sober, drank himself to death after years of sobriety. I have family members who did the same. One quit heroin, started drinking instead, did other drugs, went long periods without either, died 2 years ago after a 10 day drinking binge. Forcing people into treatment doesn't work. Trying to talk or shame them into abstinence doesn't work. You cannot love them into recovery. The hardest lesson I've had to learn in my life is that you cannot change anyone but yourself. A person has to WANT to recover for treatment to have any real long term effect and even then it's a constant battle against the desire to drink.

    Re the gambler who left his wife at the alter to invest: I love when narcissists try to direct the convo by bringing up things that are none of their biz like: How to or the need to "be honest with yourself"; how YOUR life would be EASIER if you just took them back; The child that they left behind with you would be better off with TWO parents vs. just with you. (When you may already have re-marrried or plan to).
    Newsflash for narcissists and those who have to suffer being in their orbit:
    Your FORMER partner's life, life- style and self- work are ............NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.
    Your FORMER kid (since you left them) is .........NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. That applies to their welfare, and daily life TOO.
    You don't get to leave someone behind and then insist that you should get to come back because it would be good for the other person. You have NO IDEA what they've had to live through since you left and how much they've matured. You probably have no idea of their current situation.
    When you pull these narcissistic stunts, you're treating them like objects or toys that you can set down and pick up again whenever you feel like it and you're doing it for YOUR OWN CONVENIENCE and..........WE'RE ALL ONTO YOU.

    A person who starts threatening my safety over monies that he cannot recoup deserves to be stopped permanently, if he will not stop himself. "Your Honor, I feared GREATLY for my life. He threatened me several times and I was warned to hide from him by his own parents. I knew if he got ahold of me, that he would murder me."

    I came a week before the due date. My mother decided to visit my father who was on duty (USMC) and went into labor there. It was a supply depot so the family joke became that I did not have a birthdate. I had a federal stock number instead.

      They usually are- whenever a woman brags about how "cute and adorable" they are, I immediately think "Japanese story"😂😂 And when they solve issues by running off and dobbing to the parents and extended family then I immediately assume "Asian story", multi generational households, incestuous siblings, hateful MILs and of course- the clueless absent father being a CEO or in the Yakuza, solving everything with money, public shaming or violence- lol yep, must be an Asian story!! And I don't understand why newlyweds would even want to still live with their parents- I mean, are we grownups and individuals or what?!! What's the point of playing house in someone else's home?!! Every woman wants to be the queen of her own castle, its almost like these relationships are set up to fail- I'm a Filipina (now living in Australia) and I would rather shoot myself in the face than live with either mine or his parents😂😂
