    Hopefully the workers at the steel factory got a raise, bonus, better environment, something. It sounds like the efficiency expert talked to the executives, this ones set a bunch of goals, the foremen imposed them on the workers, and thusly the owner became even richer.

    How do you incorporate constant or daily tasks with the priorities? What if a priority comes up mid day?

    • @startofthejourney8200
      @startofthejourney8200 4 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      If I may try to help. So depending on the priority you can put it on your list of tasks for the next day or if it’s that important you do it the same day and move a task which can wait till tomorrow over. Does that make sense ?

    This is helpful and logical, but there is one thing bothering me about this. What about those theory of time blocking that says we should do one task for specific amount of time and than move to other one because our brain lose concentration and motivation with time and it needs something new, and after some time spent on that "other task" goes back to previous or next one, etc.

      I also was thiniing about tjis. But I will mix this. I will hop back and forth between my 1st and 2nd priority task every ten minutes, until I have completed both. This hopping works very well for me. As I don't like long shifts of working. If I do this, I think, that my live is very boring...

    • @1b0o0
      @1b0o0 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      dj dj you just need to do more time blocks for that task. Not all important tasks take the same amount of time, so breaking a task down into smaller subtasks makes it easier. Maybe you need an entire day to complete a big task that could be the sum of 10 30-minute blocks. Do one block of focused work at a time, rest between blocks and finish the entire task at the end of the day by achieving all the subtasks' blocks.

    AKA The ‘A,B,C,D,E’ method...
    A. Critically important-major consequences if done or not
    B. Important-consequences, but not as great as an A task
    C. Like to get it done, but no consequences
    D. Delegate
    E. Eliminate
    May seem counterintuitive, but TM experts will tell you C, D,& E more important, so you can focus on A & B tasks.

    I love how this totally doesn't take into account the 500 other tasks showing up last second on the day itself, from people expecting it to be done instantly. Because those are the ones that kill your productivity. Not multitasking or turning off the notifications is so much easier said than done. 100 years ago they didn't have the f*cking internet bothering you nonstop
