I breed SFHs and just love them. Not only are they the most beautiful birds in the yard but are noticeably much more human friendly and interactive than the others. From chicks they are curious and approachable, as adults they are my “huggable” and have so much more personality than the other birds. I cannot sing enough praises to this breed!
Hi, my name is Erik and I live in Sweden, I have Swedish flower hens. Extra credit for the saying the swedish name very good. I have a small flock of these birds and I am also part of the association that has kept this bird alive through its conservation work. Good that you bring it up!
I have several, they are wonderful. I love them, they are everything that you said here. They are pretty bomb proof. The flowering changes little with molting. They are friendly.
First time chicken Hatcher ( my brothers where more into chickens, Rhode Island reds, growing up) my brother sent my son home with 12 eggs to put in our incubator and 10 of them made it❤❤ this is such an awesome breed we have really enjoyed them in the process of building their Coop because they're getting bigger by the day. Thank you so much for making this video it has truly educated me a lot more and made me love my little chickens even more❤
I just adopted 5 Swedish Flower chicks and already love their energy and friendliness. They’re two weeks old, the most inquisitive and adventurous chicks I’ve ever had. I adopted them with two Ayam Cemanis and the difference in personality is striking. Anxiously awaiting knowing if they’re hens or roos as I live in a city and will not be able to keep the boys. 😢 I love their history and that they are evolved survivors. I just hope they can tolerate the heat in my area.
I've got four ladies, we call them "raptors" because they often like to run to see something interesting or toward us. It reminds me of dinosaurs with their long legs. Love them.
Can you do a video about the Chanticleer chicken breed? I live in Michigan & thinking about getting a hardy cold climate breed. I was hoping these chickens are mild mannered & quieter.
I have two and they are pretty but are the most fright filled and wild chickens I've seen. received them at 8 weeks and am very gentle with my chickens. I call them the wild girls. They do not like being touched or even within 3-4 feet of any human, not even for food.
I wonder about whether you received true Swedish flower chickens. I just hatched my first batch after buying the eggs from a farm here in Switzerland. Even as hatchlings, The chicks are very tolerant of humans.

Mine are all friendly and hop up on my lap!!!
Some of your photos are not SFH's. Good information though.
Which pictures weren't SFH?
It happens with lots of their videos but still good info
