I can't express how refreshing this video is. So happy the TH-cam algorithm recommended this to me! The way you speak is perfect - unscripted, soft, intelligent without being inauthentic. Just subscribed and can't wait to watch more of your content! Sending love from Australia.

What a fun episode. Oh those wallpaper borders are so 1990s! Especially in kitchens.

Haha! I had fun filming so I’m happy you think so. Omg yes, and I didn’t even have time to touch on so many other things 💘

IKEA's Ivar system is already over 50 years old and it is a copy of even older Lundia shelving system, that's also Swedish in origin.

Thank you for offering a realistic perspective on Scandi culture and history. I would like to visit, particularly Copenhagen, but often I only hear this romanticized version that seems utopic. As a black American woman I am often super skeptical when I hear people go on and on about an ideal society and know it can't all be perfect, especially if you don't fit the mold. I will travel there someday but will have a more neutral perspective and expectations going in.

Thank you for this comment! Mmh! I have a lot to say on this topic. The picture of Scandinavia is very white, generally speaking. There’s not a lot of representation going outside of the borders and I believe it will take time to broaden Scandinavia as a brand. Things are happening within the Scandi countries but I don’t know how much is getting out. When it comes to welfare and how the society is built it is very romantized and I feel we still surf on an old image of what we used to be. But overall it’s better than a lot of countries when it comes to gender equality, access to healthcare etc. But yea! Lots to say 🫶💕

I really like your content and your energy, you're delightful. I'm from Mexico, but it's interesting to see what trends travelled over; that yellow wall color, the orange wood furniture, the 'talavera' porcelain, the rustic vibe, the wallpaper borders or stencils, etc. I love the idea of seeing more real homes!!

❤️‍🔥thank you so much! Yea! I agree! It’s fun to see how trends spread and sometimes get interpreted differently. 💕
