I like these vids, man! Keep it on and whenever possible, please focus the image on the station announcement screen for better referal..thanks a lot! 😉
I’ve seen a lot of these vids of these trains arriving and departing the stations, but never a full ride-along. Thanks for sharing this! You’re vid showed up in my recommendations so I decidedly to check it out. By the way, did you use a GoPro for this? The FOV is really wide in a good way. Overall I think you knocked it outta the park in terms of vid quality. Thanks for not using a phone. I just prefer an actual camera over a phone’s camera. Again thanks for sharing! 👍👏🏻
No shit! 😃 I’m kind of jealous of you now because I have a GoPro Hero 3+ Silver, but I’m actually considering on getting a Hero 5 Black as well. I mainly use mine as a dashcam when I’m driving so if something ever goes south, I’ve got evidence......like that will ever happen to me, but again you never can tell you know. However, I don’t just use it for these situations, I also like capturing scenic routes, which is is why when I finally get my hands on one, I can do a full drive going thru going Twin Peaks as well as that crooked portion of Lombard. Anyway, so what video settings did you use here? Because you’re vid quality is amazing!
Is the Church St & Duboce Ave only for inbound J Trains, while outbound trains skip the stop? So you can't get off at Church St & Duboce Ave if going outbound unless your a wheelchair passenger?
Great to see the trams from the inside. The ride along was great. Just a few tips - Try to steady your shots by panning very slowly, your eyes are very different from a camera (accommodation) Plan your moves and not react to your surroundings, anticipate your next frame Using a gimbal would help a lot. Especially if you raise the POV above the scene which gives a broader view But these are small things that you’ll refine as you do more videos. Your choice of subject matter is right on. Doing this takes real effort and time. It’s most appreciated.
18:00 Liberty Street -- that's my stop. Up the S curve and then hop out mid-block. Home sweet home. // I always liked looking into people's backyards between Liberty and 22nd Street before arriving at the Whole Foods on 24th. // The jerky moves on the camera -- consider getting a lightweight tripod and doing SLOW pans from side to side. Too much motion.
Just finished walking my groceries home from 24th and church. My phone said outbound J in 19 minutes. So i walked abouit 10 minutes to 27th. Checked again while sitting on the hydrant. It said 20 minutes. At 30th St, still no J. This oddysey began at 5:40 pm on a monday, Dec 5th, 2022. I am 85 and walk with a cane, so prolly lucky to have made it. Sure gets dark early. Does anyone really think jeffrey tumlin knows or cares about this rather frequent occurence? I guess serving the public can be a pain in the butt.
I thought so too until I actually sat on them. Really didn't mind it at all, in fact I kind of came to prefer the bench seating. The acceleration on these feels smoother than the Bredas. That being said, there were enough people that didn't share my opinion that they are currently reconfiguring them.
awesome video! very pleasant watch 👍
LOL!! Nice work with the Dolores Park look away tactic!

Lol the guy was mad his stop was passed up because he didn’t press the stop request. People need to understand trains in SF are like buses.
Awesome video

Lucky I never got to ride one but i seen Tons on The N line Might ride tommrow!
Why these trains sound like a spaceship taking off?
Chris what I can tell you is that the propulsion is the same as the Siemens S70
They kinda sound like the Breda p2550s but the propulsion is high outched

I went at j church and stop at embadero
start and stop is very herky jerky. sitting sideways does not help. crummy idea.
I agree, some people disliked their position, but it’s only a matter of time before those seats are reconfigured

The first batch of Siemens trains has seats like these, the newer batches has different seat configuration
