Thanks for visiting the Wolverine State. For fudge history check out How Mackinac Island became fudge capital of the world. Your supposed to sample fudge from all the fudge shops. I think it's a law there. LOL! Prayers Flying for safe travels

We went up there in July of '22 and the weather was perfect, in the upper 70's for the high. Some of the locals were saying it was hot. We didnt have the time to visit Mackinaw City, but definitely want to next trip up there. Thanks for sharing!

I love going up that way. Mostly been up there in summer but did go in winter once. It was pretty. My uncle and I walked out on the ice a few yards just under the bridge. Did you have a pastie (pronounced postie I believe)? I like going to Hunt's Mackinaw Pastie. Lot's of history up that way. Wondering if you went to Mackinac Island and Castle Rock. Can't wait to see/hear reactions going over the bridge.

Going over the bridge will be in Episode 2! 😃 we learned about “pasties” when we were up there but after hearing the ingredients, we passed…lol I’ve seen photos of the ice on the lake….brrr….we won’t be there then! 😄 We did see fudge shops every 20 yds… lol

Thanks for taking us along. Fun trip and we’ll done. By the way, pastie is pronounced paste - ee. When you go over the Mighty Mac head west on 2 a little ways and stop at Lehto’s for a pastie. Best in the U.P. Go a few more miles and enjoy the view of the Cut River Gorge.

You are very welcome. We loved that trip. We hope to go again next summer. That was the first time either of us had heard of pasties….other than the other more midwestern definition….haha! Thanks for coming along, commenting, and the suggestions! Be safe!
