@@Legitimate123 Look up how canola oil is made, hahahaha like the FDA/NCBI is going to put out evidence against it they care less about your health than you could ever imagine. Butter is made with cream, canola oil,Soybean oil,cottonseed oil,sunflower oil are made with solvents and the seeds theyre produced with are laden with PFA pesticides from third world countries with next to no regulation. And not to mention that if you consume soybean oil you're consuming a thousand times the isoflavones then you ever could in nature. And theres plenty of studies done showing the effects of large amounts of soy isoflavones on rats and mice producing all sorts of hormone disorders and cancers. I'll stick with the butter that doesn't need to be soaked in bleach/hexane and heated to 1000 degrees to not smell like rancid gutter oil. And if you know anything about chemistry distilling solvents is never 100% so you're getting trace amounts of those solvents in your oil no matter the processing.

As a child of the 90s, the biggest betrayal of my childhood is how much country crock my mom went through and had the nerve to call it "butter". It wasn't until I went to college that I even learned there was a difference. Butter is superior in every conceivable way. This may be a meme, but everyone who eats country crock looks like those people. That shit is a crime against humanity.
Absolutely correct. Canola oil wasn't even eaten by humans not all that long ago. It was used for machinery lubricant, not 'food.'

@@bossdog1480 Rapeseed oil has been in use with food for thousands of years and canola oil is merely a derivative with a lower erucic acid profile. Non food grade "canola oil" was never used in the context of cooking.
Speaking of not being eaten by humans not all that long ago, next time you're buying vegetables and fruit I suggest you take note of what is being sold and look them up. Most of our fresh produce was largely inedible not all that long ago and only became popular after extensive generations of genetic modification.

I wonder if there will ever be a point where self appointed nutritionists stop thinking that edible calories will kill you - there are no hacks, cheat codes, supplements or "superfoods" that will make you magically healthier. If you eat a good variety of carbs, complete proteins, saturated fat, monounsaturated fat, polyunsaturated fat, sugars and starches that are present in you vegetables and fruit, and then you get a good amount of exercise, and you will live as long as it is possible to live.
