I love information videos like this style!
I would just like to add that your pair of Lady Gouldian Finches should Ali be compatible with each other. Let them choose their mate because they would even want to change mate each breeding season or each clutch. In my experience. If they breed while not 100% compatible, they will pluck each other’s face every time they meet inside the nest box to swap places.
There were also times where the males would severely attack the female when the chicks are making panic screams in the nest.
So yeah, compatibility is a must!
    Great video altogether!

Just looking at a couple of the nesting boxes / bottles you are using... Is the black bottle shape plastic, thought that was a great idea and also how you used the pipe on the front of the boxes... just showing the 'Hubbs' to see if wants to give it a go... Cheers for sharing Jay... I enjoy both yours and Chris's videos and of course the Podcast is #1.

I don’t let mine go below 60f and that’s with no wind or drafts

Can i keep canary in outside aviary....the local bird club breeders in Houston say no, they are sensitive to mosquito bites and associated viruses. Is this just an urban legend?????

It’s not an urban legend, but it doesn’t really affect the birds. Check out our podcast episode on bugs! I believe it’s episode 41!
