Sigils, instead of putting wood together put them at random. Like a diamond and the next one wood, and the other one a bankrupt. Doing so will actually have the players push their luck instead of what you are doing now. Right now there is no point in putting wood or iron at first because no one is gonna stop there.
If I did this I would have everyone end when someone cashes out or bankrupts. So let's say Zud landed on that emerald on the first round, he either wants to push or cash. So after you three had 1 more roll, Zud does his final turn because he didn't cash out. So whatever you were currently on is what you get, like for example Ian was on gold so he'd get a gold weapon. Honestly that'd make the gold iron and even potentially wood actually possible to get unironically.
For the record, Sigils never said that you have to switch when you get a diamond. He could have chosen to just get a diamond block. The others were just putting words into his mouth because all of them chose to switch whenever they got a diamond
