The classic Ichabod was tall and skinny so if Tom gained weight he wouldn't fit the classic character anymore. The show has changed his character so much that Tom wouldn't have anything left of the original character. The show changed Ichabod to brave when the classic Ichabod was scared of his own shadow.

give him some time, he probably was use to eating a british diet but now on set with buffet food he'll buff up in no time unless he's one of those people who can't keep weight on

It's cute how she is so little and he is towering over her. Abbie says the funniest things. And Ichabod seems to get a kick out of her delinquency.
