And its the paint.
It’s the history.
It’s the quiet dedication
It’s the engineers
Who attend these beasts
It’s the people
It’s the polishers
It’s the coal shovellers
And the oil can squirters
It’s the weight and size
It’s the rumble and roar
It’s the whistles
That warn and thrill
It’s the steam, above all
It’s the crackle of hot coal
It’s the hiss of live water
Above all it’s the steam.
