    I love these videos. I'm surprised how much you actually can fit in a trunk like this!

      Veronica Equestrienne they do hold a lot and the best part: they have wheels, are lockable, and are waterproof! And much cheaper than wooden tack trunks. My wooden one is heavy and awkward to carry. I prefer these plastic ones for when I’m going to shows solo

      Just genius. I have to get something similar whenever I start showing.

      Veronica Equestrienne there’s Husky, Kobalt, and Stanley that makes them. They are meant to be a toolbox so you can find them at home improvement places. I get mine for $50 on Black Friday but they are normally around $85. Do you have similar stores where you live?

      I think they have the Husky one here, I'm not sure. I need to check it out. But not showing yet, I need to take the last license to show.

    Yes, that brush is named "Pik Bube", after the "Bube" card in the game. :-) They have whole series of those Pik Brushes. Those are the best brushes that I know, they are way better in quality than the Haas brushes, but not as well known and come from the Leistner Bürstenmanufaktur. Amazing that they are even known in the US.

      I got it at a local tack store years ago. I haven’t seen them since. What game is it named after? I haven’t heard of it before

      With those playing cards, you can play a lot of different card games. I guess you don´t have those overseas ;-) Originally they come from France.
      I think the "Bube" card is called jack or something, Bube means boy. The dictionary said that Pik ist calles "pikes", it´s the symbol that is on the card.
      But that´s not that important. ;-)
      What I find so great about Leistner, ist that they always state, which fiber they use on the brush, for example 100% horse hair or if it´s a mix of horse hair and synthetic bristles. Haas doesn´t do that.
      But I guess they are quite expensive in the U.S., they are already a little bit more expensive than normal brushes in Germany, but absolutely worth their money.
      When I started using natural bristle brushes, I began to realize that before, I didn´t really groom my horse. They pick up the dirt and dust so much better than synthetic bristles.

      Elisabeth Glechner thank you for the info! Sounds similar to playing cards we have over here but different names. The brush was a little more expensive but so are most wood backed brushes. I think I paid around $30, maybe $40 at the most for it

      Okay, I guess that´s a reasonable price for them.
      Keep up making those great videos, I really like that channel. You are very honest and likeable, and also have a lot of good thoughts about horses. It is kind of hard to find such nice stuff on youtube.

    I've never heard about braiding with yarn, do you have a video showing how to do it?

    • @Keelari
      @Keelari  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t have a video but using yarn is a common method for hunter braids in the US. You can search ‘hunter braids’ on YT for a general guide of how it’s braided in but I finish mine off slightly different but it will give you and idea. There’s nothing to sew in like you would with waxed thread.
