Could you please let us know if this would work for extract mode? Or do we have different way to leverage the RLS setup at SQL server end and in Tableau data sources in extract mode?

I have a table of contents which have links to connect based on product category. 2. I want to show specific links of TOC based on user privileges, can you shed some light on how to do that. I have 2 separate questions: 1. How would the data behave if I use a parameter to pass the username to qualify certain rows through Initial Sql and setup a temp table. Finally querying from that table by Custom Sql. Then if I use Live custom Sql vs extract. How would this affect on the server? 2. If I did publish it as an extract and another user opens it. Will the initial Sql run one time to setup a temp table to get only records matching that particular user?
