Fortuner Suspension Lift and Tire Upgrade

- We planned to give Abhay’s 2017 4x4 fortuner a much needed suspension and tires upgrade.
Went ahead with. 2” nitrogas lift kit and 285/60/18 Bfgoodrich KO2 tires on the stock rims for now.
The 285 is a real wide set of tires and runs super close to the upper control arms and cannot run with snow chains in current setup. But since Abhar had planned for a wheel upgrade already, so that won’t be a problem for very long.
Runs like a dream mile-muncher Overlander after the perfect midlife upgrade.

That's a very gracefully done fortuner. Looks stock enough but we'll equipped. Will enhance the capabilities of the already capable vehicle. Great mods. Would love to see a real world usage review along with a stock fortuner. Keep rolling.

Can the stock gurkha bs 6 be changed with ironman suspension with more lift and articulation.
I’m planning a similar upgrade but is the gap between the Upper control arm and tyre so less only due to the chunkier BFGs?
Would a G015 yokohama geolander AT in the same size of 285/60/18 have better clearance with the UCA to allow a snow chain fitment?
either go for 265 tyre of negative offset rims or spacers thats the only option for optimal gap between upper control arm

Didnt this installation go south,I saw the owners video and 285 size was the wrong choice,275 would have been better,what exactly went wrong there and what size do you now suggest after that issue,do u suggest we do either /or means either at tyres or the suspension but not both together?
@amitatwal6920 More than tyres i am worried about the suspension height making the vehicle unstable at high speeds,it will be impossible to drive fast on winding roads or corner at high speeds,one nudge can flip over the car.Stock suspension is horrible but lifting isnt the answer,better shocks are.A fully loaded Hilux wont have that problem because of the weight but an empty fortuner is dangerous.What about Bf goodrich?
