I think you're confusing the family tree...in the last one the woman who chose Baahubali senior as the king was the queen mother(different actress) she was incidentally the mom of the villain as well..but being the righteous woman she was, she saw who was more able and hence chose Baahubali, her adopted son(actually her brother in law's son) as the king...this old woman is the wife of Baahubali senior and the mother of Baahubali junior and the daughter in law of the queen mother and the sister in law of the villain who harboured a secret twisted lust for her. I would not say more..you really need to watch the movies as you're missing out a lot of things. And the movies are 2 years apart...2015 and 2017

There are two Baahubali's. The first movie is Amarendra Baahubali and this one is Mahendra Baahubali, Amarendra's son.
