  • The Buddhist Society of WA has encountered many occasions where something seemed unattainable, such as building the monks' monastery and the nuns' monastery, but we were able to make the impossible a reality. Ajahn Brahm inspires us to just give it a try and says, "Any place where there is negativity, there is always a place where you can get great wisdom." Please support the BSWA in making teachings available for free online via Patreon: / buddhistsocietywa
Recorded at Dhammaloka Buddhist Centre, Perth, Western Australia.

This talk is more relevant now than ever, being surrounded by the negativity in public life, including the media and politics. We can transcend all the negative energy and live in peace. Much metta to you.

Ajahn Brahm, I discovered your teachings less then a month ago. I this difficult period in my life, in every one's life with Covid and politics trying to bring this country to its knees, thanks to your teachings and personal aura I am stumbling through hoping not to hurt too many others in my path I listen and watch every night. Will you ever visit the US? if only I could meet you in person. Namaste

Thank you so much for this talk. We shall never meet but I feel you are looking right into me through the camera lens. This time I know that a huge task I have been avoiding, i really can do one step at a time and piece by piece the task will pass and be done. I learn so much from your Dharma talks, your books and the books of Ajahn Chah. Thank you for your compassion. Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu! 🙏🙏🙏

Maybe a dumb question, but I couldn't help but notice the tissue box. My mind can't help but wonder what it is for? I haven't noticed it in talks prior.
